    El Técnico de Farmacia es el profesional a cargo de recibir y procesar prescripciones médicas. Deberá atender al paciente con los más altos estándares de servicio y deberá interactuar y ayudar a los pacientes. El Técnico de Farmacia deberá cumplir con las regulaciones de su profesión y mantendrá al día sus credenciales.

    Las responsabilidades incluyen, pero no se limitan a las siguientes:

    • Asistirá al farmacéutico en las tareas de dispensación bajo supervisión directa, de acuerdo con las leyes estatales y federales.

    • Asistirá al farmacéutico en las tareas del Departamento de Farmacia (recetario) de acuerdo con las políticas y procedimientos de la empresa.

    • Responsable de utilizar el sistema de procesamiento de recetas para obtener información del paciente y de los medicamentos para procesar reclamaciones a los planes médicos un tiempo apropiado y de una manera eficiente.

    • Asistir a nuevos técnicos de farmacia en el entrenamiento de las operaciones del recetario.

    • Modelar y promover un servicio al paciente de excelencia, un ambiente de trabajo de respeto y trabajo en equipo.

    • Manejar llamadas telefónicas de pacientes y/o médicos que no requieran intervención del farmacéutico.

    • Manejar llamadas a planes médicos para completar requisitos de pre-autorización, validar copagos, cubiertas y beneficios.

    • Responsable del manejo adecuado de las transacciones en la caja registradora.

    • Asistir en el manejo del inventario, compras, limpieza y nitidez del recetario, archivo de recetas, almacenamiento apropiado de los medicamentos y otras tareas asignadas por el Farmacéutico Regente.

    • Cumplir responsablemente con todas las políticas y procedimientos de la empresa.

      1. Upon health plan and/or PAP approval, contacting the patient, their representative and/or HCP office to agree on medication delivery date, time, and location. (Please note patients may prefer to pick up their medication at the pharmacy)
      2. Communicating and obtaining, or coordinating to obtain, patient co-pay/deductible responsibility, if any
      3. Securing location of original prescription, always reminding patients and HCPs that no medication can be delivered if the original prescription is not on file at the pharmacy
    2. Identifying due dates and refill dates to build and sustain a delivery pipeline, without missing a treatment date.
    3. Following up on customer calls where required.
    4. Researching required information using available resources.
    5. Handling and resolving customer complaints.
    6. Identifying, escalating priority issues and reporting to the high-level management.
    7. Completing detailed and specific call notes as necessary, updating them in CPR+.
    8. Obtaining documenting and reporting relevant data to handle complaints and inquiries.
