    Under the leadership of the Operations Director the main objective of this role is to provide ongoing oversight of the Case Management Core 2 Team which includes Inflammatory, Osteoporosis /Osteoarthritis, Floater and Zero refill resources. This team is accountable for initial interview and following up with patient or MD office to obtain additional information/documentation to be able to process claim. This team will also be responsible for working medication refills. The Manager will manage all aspects of the department functions, including personnel, systems, initial and on going training and employee development.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Holds self and others accountable for measurable high quality and timely .Develops/refines processes and procedures and ensures they are consistently applied across the Case Management Core 2 Team.Leads Change – acts as a catalyst for organizational change and employee engagement.Makes decisions that produce high quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems and calculating risks.Partners with other Operations teams to ensure quick turnaround of referralAssesses and analyses team performance, identifies performance gaps and provides feedback and coachingResponsible for leading a team through teaching, coaching and inspiring by fostering a sense of energy, ownership and a responsibility for the flawless execution of commercial excellence; engage in the selection and hiring process as needed. Administers company personnel policies and follows company staffing standardsEnforcing policies and procedures to include business standards, maintaining customer satisfaction levels and improving quality of service.Collaborates with key business partners on process and or operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of Case Management Core 2 team.Monitoring and assessing staff’s compliance with the Company’s rules and procedures related to behavior with Patients and Co-workers, attendance, dress code, productivity standards and any other applicable instruction provided by Company’s management. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:

    2 years of leadership/people management experience is requiredDemonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding goalsPrior experience working in Specialty Pharmacy preferredPharmacy Technician Associate Degree -Pharmacy license and registrationBachelor’s degree in healthcare or business-related field (preferred)

    Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure appropriate therapies.

    Meet the quantitative and qualitative production standards set by management.

    Obtain the patient’s medication list for DUR research.

    Submit and review prescription drug insurance claims to be delivered to patients and providers.

    Refer to the Patient Assistance Program department in cases where the patient cannot afford deductibles.

    Develop relationships and act as a liaison with physicians, patients, infusion centers, manufacturers, and Patient Assistance Programs.

    Identify and resolve rejected requests by health plans, including facilitating access to comparable medication regimens; refer to pharmacist in case of potential pharmaceutical alternatives.

    Monitor assistance balances for each enrolled patient to ensure funding is available through the completion of therapy (e.g., financial aid).

    Communicate medication deductible as applicable.

    Maintain continuous communication with the medical office and/or infusion center.

    Identify and follow up on refill dates to ensure patients receive medications on time in accordance with the treatment plan.

    Other duties: perform or assist with any operation as needed to maintain workflow and meet timelines and quality standards; participate in meetings and working groups prepared by management or colleagues; stay updated on new developments, requirements, and policies.

    Escalate any extraordinary situation to the supervisor or manager; availability to attend weekly meetings.

    Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience in Case Management.

    Ability to communicate in English, including reading comprehension, verbal communication, and written communication.

    Exemplary communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills with clients; including listening, speaking, and writing in both Spanish and English.

    Associate Degree as Pharmacy Technician is required.

    Valid Pharmacy Technician license is required.

    Specialized training in benefits access and pharmacy/medical requirements is preferred.
