    As a Machinist at CMP, you’ll work hands-on with CNC and manual machines in a dynamic job-shop environment. You’ll set up, operate, and program 2-axis and 3-axis machines, ensuring precision and quality in every part you produce.     What You’ll Bring

    Experience setting up and operating 2-axis and 3-axis CNC machines in a job shop environment (Mills, Lathes, and Surface Grinders).Ability to write and adjust simple programs – especially in Prototrak conversational CNC.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.Experience with precision measurement tools and instruments to ensure quality and accuracy.Experience performing setups, adjustments, and quality checks independently.Enjoys a hands-on, collaborative culture where machinists take ownership of their work.

    About the Role

    As a Maintenance Mechanic at CMP, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production equipment and facilities running smoothly. You’ll perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on a variety of machinery. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with tools, and ensuring reliable operation of manufacturing equipment in a safe, collaborative environment.

     

    What You’ll Do

    Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.Support facility maintenance, including lighting and basic electrical work.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.Coordinate repairs and part replacements with the Tool Room and Maintenance teams.Maintain accurate records and follow assigned maintenance schedules.Ensure a safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.Be available for occasional weekend shifts, overtime, emergency call-ins as needed.Provide and maintain personal hand tools for daily tasks.


    What You’ll Bring

    2+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial repair, or related field.Basic understanding of mechanical machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems independently.Familiarity with older or rebuilt equipment and willingness to learn unique CMP machinery.Proficiency using mechanical tools and equipment (hand tools, grinder, welder).Experience with measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, voltage testers, multimeters, amp meters).Ability to drive a forklift and safely handle heavy parts or machinery.Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
