About the job Our Richmond manufacturing facility is looking for a new 2nd shift Team Manager responsible to oversee and manage the production of Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers. We'll rely on you to manage job assignments, materials planning, and safety compliance. This position is responsible for the application and enforcement of all company policies and procedures. Our second shift generally starts at 2:00pm, Monday through Friday. As a part of the team, you will: * Attain production goals through effective scheduling to meet customer demands, ensure production targets are met daily & weekly. * Provide leadership to create a work environment that drives excellence in productivity, customer service and quality. * Understand and support plant KPIs and Shop Floor Management objectives. * Use continuous improvement skills such as 5-S, Lean manufacturing, KAIZEN, TPM etc. to drive improvements. * Set and follow up targets for the team and each employee, broken down from unit level. * Be responsible for team's: safety, quality, delivery, cost. * Drive performance of the team and employees. * Be a link between the factory and support functions for daily issues. * Maintain control of quality, deviations and line stops. * Lead TPM, 5S, Kaizan initiatives for the teams responsible for. * Perform safety, quality & other audits according to ALPS (Alfa Laval Production System). * Ensure production plan is followed & targets are met daily, weekly. * Continuously improve productivity and flow efficiency for different production areas. * Support and execute according to code and regulations. * Lead through a 2-way communication leading to high employee engagement. * Ensure all employees know their responsibilities, how they contribute to the total result, and that they are recognized for performance * Support other initiatives as directed by Unit Manager and/or Factory Manager What you know You have a bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience from relevant areas in production/manufacturing company/transportation. You're a driven leader delivering results through the team, with strong people management, recruiting, training, development, and team building skills. You know your way around a computer - especially in Microsoft applications and Warehouse Management systems. We'd love if you had Lean distribution and warehousing experience, training and techniques, Warehouse site management experience, and experience from improvement tools, e g 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen. About the job… The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for selling Alfa Laval transactional products and services within the assigned area of responsibility and providing direct support to customers. This is a hybrid position located in Richmond, VA or Houston, TX. Responsibilities include: * Make high‑volume outbound calls to prospects daily using call lists/Installed Base, CRM data or lead-generation tools based on Target Customer/Industries. * Introduce the company's products or services, clearly communicating value and addressing initial questions or objections. * Qualify leads based on defined criteria to determine fit and readiness for the next step in the sales process. * Schedule appointments/calls for Field Sales Managers. * Be able to immediately close a deal or move on the sales process if the opportunity is presented. * Document all interactions in the CRM with accurate notes and follow‑up tasks. Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions. * Serve as a point of contact for a small portfolio of newly acquired or lower‑touch accounts. * Conduct periodic check‑ins to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell or cross‑sell opportunities. * Follow up on warm leads from marketing campaigns, email outreach or inbound inquiries. * Meet or exceed daily/weekly KPIs, including call volume, conversions and appointments set. * Build compelling Value Propositions scripts and collaborate with the sales and marketing team to refine them, improve lead quality and optimize outreach strategies. * Maintain a positive, persistent attitude when handling objections or rejection. * Analyze and understand market insights and the customers' buying behavior and keep team informed and updated * Travel up to 10%. What you know: You have a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with relevant experience, and: * Minimum 1 year of professional experience in the assembly of mechanical equipment or a similar field. * Experience with pneumatic and hand tools, basic Engineering drawings, and basic electrical and hydraulic terminology. * Behaviors: Punctuality, reliability, self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
