    1st Shift M-F 7AM-3PM

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for safely operating the extrusion press in order to produce aluminum extruded shapes that meet customer specifications, and for participating in 5S initiatives in the extrusion press area.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.

    Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelinesSet up and run equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirementsSupport the company’s key corporate values, objectives and strategiesCross-train in as many functions in the department as possibleUnderstand and verify manufacturing orders in order to identify internal and customer specificationsConduct all processes and procedures in accordance with department key measuresEnsure all quality practices are being followed accurately and efficientlyKeep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfactionEfficiently operate the extrusion press in order to maximize processes and operationsAnalyze and monitor extrusion process data per process control plan and extrusion process sheetsUse log calculation to make billet adjustmentsSet up and modify extrusion process sheetsProperly take and inspect samples at all operations of press cell according to customer required surface finish and tolerancesMake changes to the press schedule as necessaryMeet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfactionPerform general machine maintenance as necessary to keep equipment in a well maintained condition

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory and effectively moving products and packages throughout the facility. This position is also responsible for processing all shipments, while recognizing priorities to ensure on time delivery and customer satisfaction. The person in this position will be cross-trained in multiple areas within the shipping and receiving team in order to meet department and business needs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide and promote a safe work environment throughout the entire facilityPerform material services to all departments, customers and suppliers while verifying that counts and inventory transactions are completeEnsure product is labeled, packaged and stored appropriatelyCycle counting, including applicable inventory transactionsOrder or request manufacturing supplies when neededRegularly check manufacturing orders received from the customer service departmentWhen components are in stock, work with manufacturing to determine when they need the productReceive, inspect and process paperwork and rejected material, per ISO proceduresCommunicate and coordinate shipment information with truck lines (internal & external), suppliers and throughout the facilityProcess paperwork for all shipmentsUnderstand INFOR system, this includes: pick lists, packing lists, shipping procedures, etc., and follow indicated instructions pertaining to customersLoad trucks in the most cost efficient way for deliveriesStock product and keep track of non-inventory items at external warehousesEnsure shipments to customers and suppliers are in good conditionInspect forklifts, trucks and trailers as necessaryProcess inventory transactionsFollow 5S guidelines to continuously help to keep the facility clean and orderlyAssist in attaining the department goals in regards to inventory

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
