    Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences invites applications for the position of founding Program Director for the college’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies program. ACPHS seeks a strategic, collaborative, and innovative leader who is committed to preparing physician assistants to address contemporary healthcare challenges and improve the health of the communities they serve. The Program Director will have a central role in the design and implementation of this new program. Accordingly, the individual must be knowledgeable about and responsible for program organization, administration, fiscal management, continuous review and analysis, planning, and development Further, the individual will be responsible for providing oversight, coordination and programmatic leadership to ensure the efficient operation of the program. This position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position scheduled to begin on July 1, 2025. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Medical Director will report directly to the Physician Assistant Program Director. The Medical Director will be responsible for ensuring that both didactic instruction and supervised clinical practice experiences meet or exceed current clinical practice standards. Working in close partnership with the Program Director, the Medical Director will be actively involved in building relationships with clinical sites for the development of supervised clinical practice experiences. Additional duties include assisting with the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of the program curriculum; participation in accreditation activities; student advising; and participation in student recruitment, selection, and admission processes. The Medical Director will also provide instruction in the didactic and clinical phases of the program. Successful candidates will coordinate with colleagues in teaching and developing a new Pharmacology course sequence required for students in our Pharm.D program.
