    Overview:

    Position is responsible for supporting the company's regulatory compliance function. Position will ensure the company meets all labeling requirements, food regulations and that all updates, new formulations and ingredients are compliant with AFNA specifications and government regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    Labeling compliance:

    Responsible for developing labeling information for products.
    Final approval, review and assess labeling information for accuracy in accordance with master/test recipes and their respective production sheets.
    Create labels for immediate and/or shipping containers.
    Prepare and maintain label transmittals for USDA approvals and carry out generic approvals.
    Responsible for staying informed of new and updated labeling regulations of such federal agencies as the USDA, FDA, FTC, TTB, and CBP as well as local and state agencies and presenting findings to cross functional teams.
    Ensure that imported products contain informative and truthful labeling in English and that they are complying with the requirements of the FD&C Act and the regulations promulgated under the Act.

    Recipe accuracy:

    Systematically review recipes for accuracy and report findings to managers and supervisors.
    Review and approve product specifications for packaging, supplier information and certification.
    Generate product specification and nutrition facts for finished products.
    Provide direction on completing specific documents requested by customers.
    Verify the accuracy of supplier information for packaging materials.

    Product importing and exporting:

    Research standards of food ingredients as well as food and color additives set by the world organizations such as JECFA and IPCS INCHEM.
    Obtain necessary information from foreign suppliers to ensure that standardized ingredients, if used, meet the food standards set by FDA and that only approved food and color additives are used in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
    Keep abreast of updates on USDA's Export Libraries.
    Acquire knowledge of Food and Drug regulations and Consumer Packaging and Labeling Regulations via CFIA website and Canadian labeling consultants and Mexico

    R&D Technical database system:

    Approve updates to the system with R&D master recipes via change form
    Confirm accuracy with R&D technical database and Bill of Materials (BOM).
    Check and confirm working comparison of batch size to recipe.
    Qualifications:
    Bachelors Degree (BA or BS) from a four year college or university with a major in food science and technology; or 6-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Experience with FDA, USDA, Import/Export and Child Nutrition labeling regulations and Research and Development.
    Solid understanding of nutritional trends, regulations and policies.
    Have the ability to develop appropriate protocols and execute complex nutritional calculations.
    Interpret multiple regulations and or federal guidance documents.
    Must have a proficient knowledge of international labeling regulations (Mexico, Canada, South America, and Asia).
    Range of Pay $95,000 - $105,000. Plus, 15% annual bonus potential.

    The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective use of department resources to coordinate maintenance activities at the plant. Essential functions of this position include assigning work priority, developing job plans, defining parts and materials and supervising department maintenance mechanics. N collaboration with the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

    Responsibilities:
    Provide department supervision to ensure work efficiency and quality craftsmanship
    Troubleshoot problems causing delays of tasks and projects where a high level of technical knowledge and capability are required
    Review work requests and work orders and update work orders to appropriate status
    Develop work procedures for maintenance jobs with necessary information; including skills, tasks, parts, tools, auxiliary equipment, contractors, and estimated time required
    Determine required manpower and parts/materials on each work order and verify availability before scheduling
    Determine the need for special support equipment and inform Maintenance Manager
    Coordinate with buyers to identify material requirements, generate purchase orders and coordinate delivery
    Review department schedule and recommend work order start dates based on priorities and production needs
    Review completed PMs and update changes to part lists and tasks
    Create and maintain standard task list for PMs and frequent jobs
    Work with the Maintenance Manager to develop and monitor KPI's for maintenance
    Work with maintenance manager, tradesmen, operations and production scheduling to coordinate maintenance shutdown schedule with the production schedule
    Monitor in progress work being completed to understand status of ongoing work, including delays and overruns
    Backlog management including weekly and monthly backlog reviews and purging aged work orders as required
    Promote and maintain safe work environment through compliance with plant safety program
    Perform all other work as required by the Company

    Qualifications:
    High School Diploma/GED
    Five years of technical maintenance experience with one year of supervisory experience required
    Working knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration Systems required
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required

    Position Summary:

    The sanitation worker is a member of a Sanitation team whose duties are to clean, sanitize and maintain the Manufacturing plant. This will involve but is not limited to cleaning and sanitizing: production areas, machines, and equipment in food processing facility. The sanitation crew is required to work quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods between the plant's normal production shifts and be able to work as a team along with other members of the team, under stressful conditions and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.

    Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during long periods of time.
    Follow routine verbal and written instructions.
    Dismantle, cleans, and reassembles machine/production equipment.
    Follow safety, food safety (HACCP, GMP's, and Sanitation SOP's) regulatory and operating procedures.
    Follow procedures for handling, storing, moving and using chemical cleaners, in accordance with plant SOPs.
    Gather and empty trash.
    Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using approved cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
    Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
    Monitor building cleanliness and safety by performing such tasks as placing caution signs as need, checking chemicals are properly stored, and dispensing bottles are clearly mark. Ensure that hazards are not created.
    Move supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks (pallet jack).
    Set up, arrange, and remove production tables, chairs, to prepare facilities for pre and/or post operations.
    Other jobs as assigned

    Position Qualifications:
    1 year experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing environment
    High school diploma or GED PREFERRED
    Food industry experience
    Sanitation experience
