    A Patient Care Specialist 2 (PCS2) contributes to AHF by embodying our commitment to excellence in patient care and operational efficiency. Through cross-functionality, PCS2s play a pivotal role in ensuring that our healthcare center operates seamlessly and that our patients receive the best client experience and the highest standard of care. A PCS2 enhances the reputation of AHF by embodying our commitment to excellence in patient care, patient retention, operational efficiency, and adaptability. With a versatile skill set and dedication to seamlessly transitioning between clinical, administrative, and front office roles, PCS2s contribute to a positive patient experience, fostering trust and loyalty.

    Qualifications:

    Medical Assistant Diploma from a completed MA program is required (we do not accept certificates such as RMA, CMA, NCMA, etc.)Requirement: Bilingual in Spanish

    The CCS-2 will work as a part of a close-knit team to focus on comprehensive patient care by collecting medical histories, managing tests/screenings, recording vitals, and addressing health complaints. They will facilitate patient registration, appointment management, and electronic chart creation. The role requires proficiency in data documentation, including referrals and reports. A valid phlebotomy license or medical assistant certificate is necessary, with skills in venipuncture and sample collection, including blood and other specimens, preparing them for laboratory analysis.

This position plans, organizes, and directs all ongoing and special project funding programs for Broward House by performing the following duties personally or through assigned staff. In addition to other responsibilities, this position will have the opportunity to: Under the supervision of the Executive Director prepare and implement strategic plan with short- and long-range goals to meet Broward House funding objectives (non-grant/non-contract), enlist support/commitment from members of Broward House staff/Board/volunteers. Identifies potential contributors to special project funds and on-going operations through examination of donor history and knowledge of community. Establishes and supervises maintenance of donor database. Establishes and coordinates fund drives for special projects.
