Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on IT Support Engineer to provide dedicated onsite support at a Houston-based client location. This role blends end-user support with infrastructure troubleshooting, including networking, identity systems, and workstation support.
The ideal candidate is confident working onsite, comfortable supporting users face-to-face, and experienced with firewalls, switching, wireless, VMware, and Microsoft cloud identity. You will be the primary technical resource onsite while collaborating with remote engineering teams for escalations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite desktop and end-user support across Windows and macOS environments, including break/fix, peripherals, printing, AV/conferencing basics, and workstation setupOwn onsite incident triage and resolution; document work thoroughly in the ticketing systemCoordinate and escalate issues to remote teams when elevated access or specialized expertise is required (network, servers, firewalls, Microsoft 365/Azure, cybersecurity)Support identity and access management tasks such as account provisioning, MFA, password resets, and group membership changesDeliver a high-touch customer experience through clear communication, expectation-setting, and follow-upIdentify recurring issues and contribute to root-cause analysis and long-term remediationMaintain a professional onsite presence and build strong rapport with end users and stakeholders

Hands-on experience configuring Palo Alto or Cloudflare firewalls
Experience with Aruba networking equipment (switching and/or wireless)

Experience using SolarWinds or similar enterprise monitoring tools
Experience supporting VMware ESXi/vSphere environments
Cloud & Identity
Experience administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, licensing)
