ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Supplier Quality Engineer, or Vendor Quality Analyst, with experience driving supplier quality improvements across our PCBA, electromechanical, and enclosure suppliers. This role is not only about identifying defects, but also about preventing them by working closely with suppliers and our internal teams to improve processes, clarify requirements, refine documentation, and develop better tools or fixtures when needed.
The ideal candidate will actively look for opportunities to elevate supplier performance, even when the improvements must originate on our side. This includes recommending clearer work instructions, enhanced test methods, improved acceptance criteria, or better design-for-manufacture practices. The successful candidate will be comfortable being on-site at suppliers, diagnosing issues firsthand, and partnering with both supplier engineers and our own internal teams to ensure consistent, high-quality deliveries that meet AS9100D standards.
Frequent travel is required to enable strong supplier relationships, real-time feedback, and early detection of quality risks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a primary supplier-facing Quality representative for PCBA, electromechanical enclosure, and cable/harness manufacturing.Perform hands-on inspection, troubleshooting, and functional checks on incoming PCBAs, assemblies, and ESS-tested hardware.Use advanced electrical technician skills to diagnose failures, identify workmanship issues, and validate supplier repairs.Conduct on-site supplier audits, process reviews, root-cause investigations, and corrective-action follow-up.Evaluate supplier SMT, assembly, and inspection processes; recommend improvements to reduce defects and improve yield.Assist Engineering with manufacturability feedback, component failure analysis, and electrical troubleshooting insights.Support supplier bring-up activities including first article inspections, prototype validation, and early ESS monitoring.Ensure supplier compliance with IPC‑610, IPC-620, IPC‑J‑STD‑001, and related industry workmanship standards.Review supplier documentation packages including FAI, test results, inspection data, and AS9100D-required records.Maintain supplier scorecards, quality metrics, and trending; provide reports and recommendations to leadership.Drive continuous improvement across suppliers using better instructions, clearer acceptance criteria, and improved test or assembly fixtures.REQUIRED SKILLS

Overview
We are seeking a driven, mid-level Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in our defense networking portfolio, with a focus on rugged Ethernet switch solutions and products. This individual will play a key role in identifying, shaping, and capturing opportunities across U.S. Department of War (DoW) programs and defense prime contractors. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and brings a blend of technical familiarity with networking hardware and software and a strong understanding of business development principles and defense program and product acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities related to rugged Ethernet switch and advanced network products within the defense sectorDevelop and execute account strategies across key customers, including US Department of War customers and defense prime contractorsShape early-stage opportunities by aligning customer needs with Aeronix capabilities in a dynamic environmentSupport capture efforts, including win strategies, teaming, and proposal inputsTrack and analyze defense budgets, procurement trends, competitive trends, and technology developments to develop proactive growth strategies and sales plansCollaborate closely with engineering and product teams to develop and deliver marketable rugged Ethernet products and solutionsDrive rugged Ethernet switch marketing campaigns and represent the company at industry events and trade showsQualifications
7–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or capture within the defense industryDemonstrated experience with Ethernet switches or related networking technologiesStrong understanding of DoW customers, acquisition processes, and budget cyclesProven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across government and industryExperience working with or selling to prime contractors and/or government program officesAbility to translate technical concepts into compelling, customer-relevant value propositionsBachelor’s degree required; technical or engineering background preferredPreferred Qualifications
Direct experience supporting defense networking, C5ISR, or platform integration programsExisting relationships within key defense accounts (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, or major primes)Experience with ruggedized or embedded networking solutionsActive Secret security clearance (minimum)What Success Looks Like
