    Quality Assurance Manager


    Description:

    Responsibilities:

     

    Managing the following: ISO / AS9102, MIL-SPEC 55110, 31032 Certification & Documentation, update and Maintenance of files applicable to UL & other outside agencies & customers as well as manage all quality departs staff, productivity, quality and discipline.Evaluate and verify evidence of recurrence prevention for all internal corrective action reports & direct changes or improvements as necessary.Evaluate and direct improvements for all process procedure documents, training checklists, process tests, review & sign-off revisionsEvaluate and update quality manual and applicable procedures as necessary (annually)Evaluate rejected and defected materials for acceptability by internal and/or IPC standards.Provide failure analysis of product rejected both internally & returns to accurately provide corrective action & recurrence prevention.Daily evaluate rejects resulting in restart orders, provide failure analysis as needed, assign root cause by department/process, and publish report daily.Weekly evaluate reject statistics from previous week. Assist managers & department supervisors in identifying root cause and their solutions.Monthly compiles reject statistics for the month, chart both 13-week & year-to-date progression of rejects and analyze for trends. Assist managers & department supervisors in identifying root cause and their solutions.Monthly produce year-to-date statistical reports to analyze and track overall department, shipping yield, restart and production yield performance. Assist senior management in identifying problem areas and initiating possible solutions. The Manager is also responsible for:Manage and evaluate Underwriters Laboratories file, maintain accuracy to current applications & processes as well as future needs. Design and produce necessary qualification samples and/or complete the necessary applications to maintain and/or obtain certifications.Respond to customer surveys, both written and verbal, regarding our capabilities, processes and acceptance criteria, quality system and performance ability in all areas of production. Act as the secondary contact for “on-site” quality audits & surveys from customers as well as other licensing agencies.Act as AC representative to customers and others that visit our facility. Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on processes and equipment throughout our facility and communicate at a level that is understandable to those individuals or groups that tour our facility.Maintain and improve data gathering tools for the purpose of providing accurate and up-to-date information to senior management regarding process yields and trend analysis. Oversee and maintain the operation of the Yield, CAR & Restart Access databases.Manager is also responsible for managing and overseeing the following areas, Customer complaints, AOI, Cross section lab, in-process inspection, final inspection, and quality engineering, Shipping and receiving. Work with all areas to determine product acceptability.Work with customers when issues arise with product shipped. Determine the issue and work to resolve quickly, and able to maintain customer confidence in our company.Daily be active on the production floor, to answer questions, oversee potential quality issues in manufacturing and ultimately be responsible for the quality of all manufacturing.Daily manage and oversee all receiving and shipping document control.

    Requirements

     

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience (5+ years) in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronic components or circuit board manufacturing.Strong knowledge of ITAR regulations and their application to manufacturing processes.Experience leading quality teams and implementing quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.Effective communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams, customers, and regulatory agencies.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

    · Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills desirable.

    · Familiarity with the installation and repair of piping and plumbing systems using PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene, copper, and iron/steel.

    · Ability to fabricate and weld in steel, stainless steel, and Polypropylene a plus.

    o Engineering considerations in the Imaging, Plating, Etching, and Soldermask areas. This includes process recommendation and modification.

    o Direct role in cultivating, educating and elevating Area Process Engineers. Direct influence on the projects, focus and priorities for the Area Process Engineers & Lab Technicians. Heavy input on evaluating the technical performances of the Area process Engineers.

    o Driving process control improvements as well as SPC initiatives to create highly capable processes.

    o Leading quality improvement initiatives.

    o Working with Supervisors to correct quality related issues & perform root cause analysis for process failures.

    o Leading productivity, cost, safety and waste minimization enhancements within the areas.

    o Conducting process / operator audits to determine if variations to the procedure have been introduced. This will require attention to detail.

    o Working and communicating with Vendors on issues and product considerations

    o Communicating and working with Maintenance, Vendors, Production employees and the Lab / WWT on a routine basis.

    o Working knowledge on the equipment in the associated departments. Must be globally proficient in all areas of the Production Process (Chemical, Mechanical and Image/Soldermask).

    o Must have the discipline to document procedural enhancements and/or new process implementations in such a way that the knowledge is easily passed on to Engineers and Manufacturing Employees.     About the Role

    The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) is responsible for applying Information System (IS) security principles, practices, and procedures under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain compliance with applicable security regulations, such as NIST, CNSSI, and NISPOM, governing the development and management of classified information systems. This position will be responsible for managing the program’s overarching security effort and representing the program to the sponsor’s security organization.
