Advanced Veterinary Care of Plano, a small 2 doctor animal practice located in Plano, TX is seeking a part time veterinary assistant. No degree is required; however a strong work ethic and willingness to learn proficiency in both the technical and customer service sides of the job are musts. Minimal reception work is required, but no prior experience in reception is necessary.
The ideal candidate is friendly, energetic, drug and tobacco free, works well with others and has excellent work ethic. Duties include assisting the veterinary technicians and doctors with restraint, pulling up vaccines, cleaning, taking care of boarding animals, entering information in paperless medical records. You must be available to work the following schedule T-F 1 PM to 6 PM, every Saturday 8 AM to 12 PM and rotating weekend walking duties.
Salary commensurate with experience ($12-14/hr) with with automatic $0.50 raises every 6 months, other benefits include paid vacation (after 6 months), generous personal pet discount and matching retirement (IRA).
