General Auto Mechanic - Classic Car Restoration
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay DOE
Duties include but are not limited to:Repair, maintain, and restore classic cars to their original beauty and functionality, including bodywork, painting, and upholsteryDiagnose mechanical and electrical problems in classic cars and perform necessary repairs and maintenanceConduct routine inspections and tune-ups to ensure that classic cars are running smoothly and efficientlyRepair or replace parts such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and steering systemsInstall and upgrade modern safety features and technology in classic carsCommunicate effectively with customers about repair and maintenance needs and provide recommendations for future workKeep up to date with the latest trends and techniques in classic car repair and maintenance Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentProficient in using diagnostic tools and equipmentIn-depth knowledge of classic car mechanics, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, fuel systems, suspension/frame swaps, electrical systems, HVAC systemsGeneral knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, replacement, repair/restoration and modification of new OEM and used componentsComfort with custom modifications, brake system upgrades, complete rewiring, engine/transmission rebuild, engine performance upgrade, EFI swaps, AC add-ons, and moreGeneral automotive knowledge on vehicles ranging from early 1900’s thru 1990’sExcellent problem solving and trouble shooting skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accuratelyAbility to communicate effectively with customers and team membersPassion for classic cars and their restoration with a commitment to preserving automotive history
