Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 36 hours per week in 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 13-week assignment with May 11th start date • Weekend, holiday, and call requirements • Float between multiple units including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatrics • Must hold current New York nursing license • At least one successful travel assignment required - first-time travelers not considered • Graduate from accredited School of Nursing required • Previous hospital RN experience preferred • Coronary Care experience needed • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Use MEDITECH charting system • May be required to assume charge nurse duties • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide quality patient care • Ability to assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects • Must recognize safety issues and properly assess and implement use of lifts for safe patient movement • Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required • Must function well in stressful situations with creative problem-solving abilities Facility: This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with multiple specialty units including medical-surgical, progressive care, intensive care, emergency department, and pediatric units.
