Requirements• Active Missouri CNA certification
• Experience providing basic nursing care and patient support
• Ability to assist with vital signs, hygiene, ambulation, transfers, and patient escort duties
• Ability to document patient location, status, and activities accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices
• Ability to identify safety hazards and respond to emergency situations
• Strong communication skills and ability to report changes in patient condition
• Ability to complete five consecutive weeks of New Employee Orientation with no absences
• Must meet credentialing, background check, and ID badge requirements
• Compliance with all facility and state agency policies and procedures
Responsibilities• Provide basic nursing care, including vital signs, hygiene, ambulation, and transfers.
• Document patient location, status, activities, and changes in condition.
• Escort patients within the facility and occasionally outside the hospital as needed.
• Assist in keeping patient common areas clean and safe.
• Support patient and staff safety by identifying hazards and emergency situations.
• Initiate corrective action as appropriate.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to support continuity of care.
• Follow infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate procedural competency for assigned tasks.
• Attend required orientation and training before beginning services.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
