**Position Type** : Six-month contract, opportunity for extension or full time offer
**Schedule** : Monday through Friday - 4 (10-hour shifts)
**Pay** : $27 to $28 per hour, based on experience
**Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant** :
+ Complete **pediatric patient rooming** , including height/weight measurements, vitals, and developmental considerations.
+ Administer **immunizations** following pediatric immunization schedules and clinical protocols.
+ Perform **CLIA‑waived point-of-care testing** (e.g., strep, flu, urinalysis, glucose, etc.).
+ Conduct **basic instrument processing** , including cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization.
+ Assist providers with pediatric procedures and clinical workflows.
+ Manage **Inbasket** messages, including results routing, patient callbacks, and provider support tasks.
+ Handle **paperwork** such as school forms, vaccine records, referrals, and other patient documents.
+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
**Qualifications** **of the Medical Assistant** :
· High school graduate or GED equivalent
+ Active **MA-C** certification.
+ **Experience in Pediatrics or Family Medicine** strongly preferred.
+ Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, and professionalism.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and providers.
