    ACTS is growing! We are seeking a compassionate, driven individual to join us in making a lasting impact through meaningful work on the Property Management Team!

    What's In It for You?

    Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm

    Salary Range: $20.50/hr.

    Location: This is a field-based position that performs duties at client service-oriented programs including secured facilities, residential programs and scattered site housing around the greater Tampa Bay area.

    What You'll be Doing:

    Performs general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities that do not require a specialized technician including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.Performs maintenance tasks as qualified- electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping and other services.Routinely evaluates equipment, systems or facilities to diagnose needed maintenance repairs and implements needed repairs.Works with director and/or senior maintenance personnel to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete various tasks.Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.Ensures maintenance and repair work complies with safety regulations and/or OSHA standards. is completely safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.Set up/install equipment, move furniture, and maintain exterior areas.May respond to afterhours and weekend calls for emergency maintenance issues in absence of maintenance supervisor.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.Performs general cleaning tasks and maintains the facility's inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies, as needed.Inspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues.Deliver goods and materials to ACTS program's locations, as needed.Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.Other duties as assigned.

    What is Required:

    A high school diploma or the equivalent.One (1) year of experience in facility or property management.Two (2) years of experience in maintenance or property managementMaintenance Certification in related-field, such as maintenance and reliability (CMRT/P), EPA Section 608 (HVAC), or apartment/building maintenance.Valid Florida Driver License. Regular daytime travel is required between ACTS locations and community-based programs. This position does not require overnight travel.Eligibility status, as determined by Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 435 and/or Local Law.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Ability to climb ladders, bend and crawl into awkward spaces.Ability to use hand tools and power tools.General knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.Ability to identify issues and determine repairs as needed.

    Intermediate Care Program

    Intermediate Care Programs (ICP) provide residential treatment with stays ranging from 90 to 120 days for those with mental health disorders with or without substance abuse co-occurring disorders. Persons receive individualized treatment plans in an Agency for Health Care Administration licensed residential treatment facility. The ICP is available to all qualifying Hillsborough County residents enrolled in the Hillsborough County Health Care Plan. ACTS operates ICP at two locations – the first can house up to 14 males. The second location houses up to 20 males at a time.

    Summary/Characteristics of Position:

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a professional nursing position that provides medical care and treatment to individuals coping with or recovering from substance abuse addiction and/or co-occurring mental health disorders. This position will work between both locations (3 days at one program and 2 days at the other).

    Schedule:

    Monday-Friday 7am - 3pm

    Salary: $27/hr. + $2,000 Sign-On Bonus! (Paid in 3- installments)

    Essential Functions:

    Completes medical screenings of clients to determine admission and/or continued service eligibility.Applies practical nursing principles and protocols for the treatment of persons served including, but not limited to, screenings, assessments and integrated planningRoutinely completes vitals, PPD administering/reading and applicable documentation.Communicates empathically with clients regarding addiction, mental illness, medications and recoveryAssists physicians with medical examinations and carries out physician orders.Administers and documents medication/narcotics/treatments as prescribed by protocol or physician's order.Maintains inventory of medical supplies and drug formulariesEnsures all billable/non-billable services are accurately recorded in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Prepares internal reports related to service delivery, billing, medication errors, on-the-job-injuries and other reportable incidents.Implementation of seclusion/restraint -Ensures nursing support personnel carry out assigned duties correctly to agency model as directed.Makes referrals or linkage to care for recommended medical services.Participates in client case staffing's and treatment team meetings.Develops and facilitates health education groups for patients on health and social topics.Adheres to regulatory bodies and licensing rules, guidelines, and all established protocol to carry out all duties required by contract, licensure, accreditation, and certification relative to program or service assignment.Performs other duties as assigned.

    Pre-requisite Requirements:

    Active licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with Florida Law.Two (2) years of nursing experienceMust possess valid Florida Drivers' LicenseEligibility status, as determined by Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 435 and/or Local Law.

    Preferred Attributes:

    Previous experience in a behavioral healthcare setting

    Required Skills/Abilities

    Ability to make critical decisions in high stress situationsAbility to maintain confidentiality.Excellent knowledge, education, and training in the field of addiction and mental healthAbility to relate to clients from all social-economic class, race, sexual orientation and/or substance abuse/mental health problemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: This position reports directly to the program director. This position does not provide direct supervision to others.

    Physical Requirements: Safety/Health Considerations:

    Must be able to participate in CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention training and apply techniques, when applicable.
