As a full-time traveling field service technician, you will perform repairs and maintenance functions on our equipment and a range customers. For this role, we are actively recruiting candidates who live in in or near:

Ability to leave Monday and not return home until Friday (and sometimes Saturday) working at multiple facilities during the week.Work performed on our shooting range equipment will vary from electric motors, to circuit boards and electronic components, to pneumatic valves and control systems, to large steel bullet traps and heavy buckets of lead.Must be able to pass background clearance checks for access to secure federal and military installations. The Powder Coater role is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal parts and products using powder coating techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, knowledge of coating equipment, and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
Some of your day-to-day tasks?
Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and pre-treatment.Operate powder coating equipment (spray guns, booths, ovens, and curing systems).Apply powder coatings to parts in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines.Inspect coated products for uniformity, thickness, and coverage; adjust as needed.Maintain and troubleshoot coating equipment to ensure consistent performance.Follow production schedules and meet quality and efficiency targets.Safely handle materials, chemicals, and equipment while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.Document work performed and communicate any issues or defects to supervisors.What do you need to be able to do?

Under the direction of the Shipping Department Lead, the associate will pull, package, stage, load, and ship orders to meet our customers specifications and delivery deadlines.
Some of your day to day tasks:
Locate and move products to fill internal and external orders.Inspect parts while pulling and or packing for damage and or visual defects.Secure products onto crates, pallets, boxes and shipping containers.Build custom crates, pallets, and boxes and ensure the correct packaging materials are used to reduce product damage while in transit.Date entry of packing and shipping in the computer systemProperly label deliveries and allocate to designated location.Understand regulations behind shipping hazarded materialsAssist with LTL, FedEx and UPS shipmentsStage and load trucks for shippingMaintain a clean and organized work area.Identify and implement ways to improve the quality, cost, safety, delivery and moral of the areaHelp in other work areas as assigned by the Shipping Dept. We build firearms training facilities for law enforcement, military, and commercial range owners around the world, and we need people to help keep them running in top shape. This role helps range owners troubleshoot any issues that may be happening to their range.
Some of your day to day tasks:
Answering inbound phone calls from customers needing technical assistance.Troubleshooting problems, discovering solutions, and delivering positive results.Managing service tickets and responding in a timely manner Collaborating with our Field Service Technician team who will be performing the repairsKeeping careful records and thoroughly documenting your efforts.Creating raving fans through superior service and communication.What do you need to be able to do?
Strong overall technical and mechanical experience.Broad electronics knowledge including computers and other electronic components.Solid experience with networking hardware, software, protocols, and troubleshooting.Very strong organizational and task management skills.Very strong communication skills, both written and spoken.Strategic planning, foresight, and superior time management.Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously.Friendly personality, excellent phone skills, and personal discipline.At least one year of relevant previous experience in a technical support customer service position.Availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 with rotating weekend and evening on-call hours via telephone.Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office setting.Occasional travel to ranges requiredAction Target is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
