The Material Handler will provide support for corn detasseling activities in July and early August. Work may extended if warranted and includes supporting seed production such as field scouting, data collection, roguing fields, and providing other support as needed. May also include limited operation of field equipment. This position may require working in inclement weather including windy conditions as well as the hot and cold.
Detasseling is a critical activity for corn seed production. The successful candidate will be able to work extended hours when needed and be available on weekends during the month of July to provide support. The Field Assistant must be able to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.
Assistant will coordinate closely with the Agronomy Supervisor and Research Specialist to support day to day field activities. Successful candidates will need to use a company vehicle for work and must have an excellent driving record. Priority will be given to candidates with a strong focus on safety and good attention to detail.

The chosen candidate will need to successfully complete in-house workmanship criteria training classes for continued employment. Basic Qualifications:

You will be responsible for performing precise assembly, repair, and testing operations on life-saving medical devices, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs).
