The Payment Poster will be responsible for electronic data interchange (EDI), accounting, and reporting functions related to insurance payments. This role focuses on the financial aspects of the billing process, including posting payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies. Ideal candidates will have experience interpreting Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs), understanding adjustments, co-pays, and eligibility verification.
Key Responsibilities:Provide full support to the Billing Department in all payment posting activitiesMaintain a minimum productivity rate of 90% in contacting insurance companies and resolving aged accountsManage and resolve 90% of unapplied, rejected, denied, and appealed claimsPost charges and payments accurately to client accountsComplete and submit claims to insurance payersReview and resolve denied and appealed claims promptlyConduct system audits and claim reviews to ensure accuracy and compliancePrepare progress reports and other documentation as neededVerify client insurance and document findings accuratelyQualifications:Experience with healthcare billing systems such as Kareo, Availity, Rethink, and other insurance platformsStrong understanding of ERAs, adjustments, co-pays, and insurance eligibility processesExcellent time management and multitasking skillsEffective verbal and written communication abilitiesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsCommitment to continuous learning and professional developmentPreferred Experience:2+ years of experience in a medical billing or payment posting roleFamiliarity with insurance regulations and healthcare billing best practicesBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
