    Airframes Mechanic I

    Location - Patuxent River, MD (Pax River Naval Base)


    Performs routine aircraft maintenance functionsMust demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component partsOperates aircraft towing equipment in towing operationsMaintains aircraft hydraulic systemsMust have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenanceMust be able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides and forms used on the jobKnowledge on composite repairsCorrosion Prevention and treatmentPerforms preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystemsPerforms troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems.Services ground support equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on all ground support equipmentUses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers' drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned dutiesCompletes maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, and required forms, as required by job assignment


    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 2 years' experience in a primary MOS from any of the following OccFlds: 6153 Aircraft Maintenance, equivalent skill designation from other services or possess valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) CertificationMust show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 90 days after assignmentHigh school diploma or equivalent Aviation Structural Mechanic CoreAviation Structural Mechanic Organizational Level courseTire and wheel qualificationMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and base access.USN/USMC experience preferred.


    Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds. Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead.Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline.Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.If required must be able to perform confined space activities.Travel may be required.

    Job DescriptionJob Description

    ACET is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Aircraft Logs & Records Clerk to manage and maintain comprehensive records for all aircraft maintenance and inspections. This role ensures all records are accurate, updated, and in compliance with FAA and company regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in aircraft maintenance documentation and will support the operations team by ensuring all required logs are up-to-date and accessible.


    Responsibilities:

    Compiles and analyzes records and reports on production: review production objectives, deadlines and work orders to determine prioritiesInputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates and other pertinent information utilizing NALCOMIS/OOMAPrepares special reports for maintenance updates as requiredCompiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies, tracks production.Monitors work order, prepares inter shop and support maintenance requests for unitReceives and coordinates aircraft transfers

    Qualifications:

    Demonstrated 3 years' experience, within the last five years, with U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps aviation supply support and the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) (COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series)Minimum 5 years' experience working on the NALCOMIS/OOMA systemMust have completed Logs and Records Configuration Management for Organizational and Intermediate Activities Course (Course C-555-0059)High School diploma, GED or equivalent requiredAdvance Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)Optimized Naval Aviation Logistic Management Information System SchoolAviation Maintenance Administration Management Class


    Compensation:

    Employees receive a health and welfare benefit of $4.93 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week.
