    Summary: The Planner is responsible for overseeing all planning activities to ensure successful delivery of the product. This position will be responsible for performing tasks and duties associated with product manufacture planning, including producing schedules, material lists, and production plans that include fabrication and assembly.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: others may be assigned:

    Evaluates shortages and manages prompt solutions keeping appropriate stakeholders informed of any potential problem as required.Analyzes demand and plans supply in accordance, ensures efficient and quality execution of requirements and purchasing action messages, manages supplier delivery, quality, and cost performance and improvement.Ensuring material flow and production activity are aligned.Reads and reviews engineering drawings and documentation and coordinate any changesMaintains inventory levels to meet company goalsSupports testing and certification requirements for new programsPreserves engineering revision control Key User for ERP system; Confirm accuracy of pertinent data in the company ERP systemCollaborates with stakeholders on lead times, planning items and any related elementsPerforms root cause analysis activities related to planningProvide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to less experienced staff.Performs work under minimal supervisionHandles complex issues and problems, and escalates only the most complex issues to higher level staff.

    Requirements:

    Demonstrated knowledge of materials planning system (MRP/ERP) requirements, purchase order and manufacturing order generation process logic, and inventory management practices.

    Demonstrated understanding of Material Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, stockroom operation and shipping and receiving.

    Familiarity with the procurement of raw materials, standards, parts, and commodities related to aircraft lavatory production.

    Effective oral and written communications skills

    Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail

    Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate

    Ability to read and analyze engineering prints and drawings

    Dedication and commitment to ensure all work is completed without exception.

    Willingness to learn and develop new competencies

    Strong written and verbal business communications abilities

    Self-starter with ability to drive improvement, meet timeliness and objectives

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of production planning and/or material planning experience.


    Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Writing: The ability to write and/or type all types of correspondence or reports.

    Physical Demands:

    Stand or Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting) 50 percent or more of the time.

    Walk: The person in this position needs to regularly move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

    Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer) Repetitive movement is also required.

    Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance: Occasionally ascends/descends stairs to assist other departments.

    Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, or Crawl: The person in this position needs to use these positions to access file cabinets, drawers or other office.

    Talk/Hear: The person in this position regularly communicates with other employees and customers via phone or in person.

    Carry Weight, Lift, Push or Pull: Frequently move boxes of files and other boxes containing paper or misc. items. The employee must occasionally lift, move, push, and/or carry up to 25lbs, and rarely lift, move, push, and/or carry up to 50lbs.

    Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
