Job Purpose: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team and is responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including dock areas, break rooms, bathrooms, and shipping offices. Ensure products are properly placed in designated receptacles and areas are free of debris. Determine necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for maintenance tasks; reassign resources as needed. Conduct regular inspections of facilities, diagnose issues, and take appropriate action. Plan and schedule routine maintenance tasks, setting work priorities. Maintain equipment and materials, performing complex repair and maintenance as needed. Supervise a team of skilled and semi-skilled workers responsible for maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical work, and more. Inspect completed work for accuracy and completeness. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Eighteen months of post-high school education or training in general maintenance, repair, or a related field. Two years of experience in general maintenance or a related field, with the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions. Education and Experience: 2 years of technical school and 3 years of experience in a related field. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office software. Reasoning Ability: Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management. Capable of managing and leading a diverse workforce. Ability to make independent decisions and solve problems with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to analyze logical relationships between conclusions and supporting evidence. Able to draw conclusions from facts and evidence. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and coordinate all activities of the Maintenance team, including planning, scheduling, and delegating tasks. Serve as a key point of contact for facility emergencies, providing direction and decision-making support outside normal working hours. Minimum Requirements: Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment. Strong mechanical and maintenance knowledge, with experience in preventive and corrective maintenance programs. High proficiency in computer systems and WMS software; capable of generating reports and managing work order systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of management and with a diverse workforce. Some college-level education preferred; equivalent experience in warehouse operations and maintenance is acceptable.
