    Lead Structured Cabling Technician

    The Lead Structured Cabling Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and testing of structured cabling systems for Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) installation projects. This role involves managing a team of two assistant technicians, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and coordinating with the project manager to meet deadlines and quality benchmarks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor two assistant technicians in structured cabling and Wi-Fi AP installations. Delegate tasks efficiently, ensuring team members understand project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Provide training and support to develop team members' technical skills. Installation of Structured Cabling: Lead the installation, routing, and termination of Cat6A cables. Oversee the setup of cable pathways to ensure proper organization and safety. Test and certify all cable installations to meet performance standards. Wi-Fi AP Installation: Direct the mounting and connection of Wi-Fi Access Points according to design specifications. Ensure successful network integration of Client, verifying connectivity and performance. Document all installations with labeling, photos, and proper records for future reference. Project Coordination: Communicate regularly with the project manager, network engineers, and site supervisors to report progress and address issues. Coordinate with other trades and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Manage materials and tools, ensuring resources are available to complete tasks on time. Testing and Troubleshooting: Oversee cable testing using appropriate tools to verify signal quality and adherence to standards. Diagnose and resolve complex cabling and connectivity issues. Collaborate with network engineers to adjust AP placement or configuration as needed. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations comply with industry standards (TIA/EIA) and local regulations. Conduct thorough quality inspections to guarantee system reliability and performance. Maintain detailed records of installations, including diagrams, test results, and cable management details. Ensure adherence to ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) protocols in relevant environments. Safety and Compliance: Enforce on-site safety protocols and ensure all team members follow personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications:

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in structured cabling preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in structured cabling and network infrastructure installation. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable. Strong background in Wi-Fi AP installation and configuration. Experience in hospital environments is preferred. Skills: Expertise in cable termination and testing (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic). Strong understanding of Wi-Fi network architecture and AP deployment best practices. Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and network diagrams. High attention to detail. Certifications: ICRA Certification is a plus. BICSI certification (e.g., RCDD, Installer, Technician) is a plus. OSHA 10/30 certification preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods. Work Environment: Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.     Key Responsibilities: Installation of Structured Cabling: Pull, route, and terminate Cat6A cables. Terminate and test cables to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. Wi-Fi AP Installation: Mount Wi-Fi Access Points based on design plans and client specifications. Connect Client to the network using structured cabling and verify proper functionality. Label, document, and photograph all cabling and equipment for clear identification and future troubleshooting. Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform cable testing using appropriate tools to ensure signal quality and adherence to specifications. Diagnose and resolve cabling and connectivity issues. Work with network engineers to optimize AP placement and network coverage. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all installations meet industry standards (TIA/EIA) and local regulations. Maintain detailed records, including installation diagrams, test results, and cable management documentation. Qualifications:

    Education:
