Become part of a medical staff of 25 in a desirable rural location just minutes from the Connecticut border, Rhode Islands best beaches, and the capital city of Providence.This 3-site nonprofit provides a broad range of services to thousands of patients including primary care, dentistry, behavioral health, womens health, rehab and more supported by an on-site lab and pharmacy. The practice provides team-based care consistent with the principles and standards of a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). Interested Internists will also be considered.Join a second provider and see current patients of the practice on a same day/unscheduled basis when their primary care provider is unavailable. This service makes a measurable difference in the quality of the lives of those patients. If desired, you may divide your time between walk-in care and primary care, developing your own primary care patient panel.As a walk-in care provider, you will be based in a collaborative primary care clinic where you will have your own dedicated MA, and access to the team RNs. Your patients may come in for unscheduled primary care, sick visits, or present with common urgent care needs requiring splints or sutures. You will focus on acute conditions appropriate to the outpatient setting and do such things as prescribe medications and treatments, and perform procedures including cryosurgery, foreign body removal, wound care and more, for patients of all ages.FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES are available. Full time is offered with a 4 or 5 day/week schedule (40 hours), or you could work part time, anywhere from 20-30 hours/week. Your time will be divided between shifts in the main practice (Hope Valley, RI) and a second practice site (Westerly, RI).
