ABSC is seeking a mission-focused Technical Training User Support Specialist to support the NGAs Data Modernization Services program in partnership with Syntasa. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with hands-on experience in cloud, data, and DevSecOps environments who can bridge technical execution, user enablement, and training delivery. The selected candidate will support a high-impact data modernization effort by developing and validating technical training materials, coordinating training-related activities, supporting users, and helping translate complex technical capabilities into clear, usable guidance for mission and technical audiences. This is not a traditional training-only role. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical aptitude, including experience with AWS, Python, Kubernetes, and modern data/platform environments, while also being comfortable developing training content, supporting users, and coordinating across technical teams. Translate complex technical workflows into clear, practical training content for both technical and non-technical users. Support high-side validation of training materials to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with operational environments. Work closely with engineers, developers, DevOps resources, and program leadership to capture technical processes and convert them into repeatable training products. Support training delivery, demonstrations, onboarding sessions, and user enablement activities. Identify training gaps and recommend improvements to improve user adoption and operational effectiveness. Ensure training content remains current as platform capabilities, data workflows, and technical processes evolve. Technical Project Coordination / PM Support Provide light project management support for training, user enablement, and technical documentation activities. Track action items, training development status, validation timelines, stakeholder feedback, and delivery milestones. Coordinate with program leadership, technical SMEs, DevOps, data engineering, and customer stakeholders to ensure training priorities are aligned with mission needs. Support meeting preparation, note capture, status reporting, schedule coordination, and follow-up actions. Help organize and prioritize training backlog items, documentation needs, and user support trends. Assist with planning for releases, capability rollouts, and related user readiness activities. User Support Provide responsive user support for platform access, basic troubleshooting, workflow questions, and training-related issues. Capture recurring user issues and recommend updates to training materials, FAQs, or support documentation. Escalate technical issues to the appropriate DevOps, engineering, or platform support resources. Support user onboarding and help ensure users understand available tools, workflows, and support channels. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus 5 years' relevant experience. Experience supporting NGA, DoD, IC, or federal mission environments preferred. Strong technical aptitude with hands-on or working knowledge of: o AWS cloud services o Python o Kubernetes o Linux or command-line environments o Modern data platforms, cloud-native tools, or DevSecOps workflows Ability to understand technical concepts and convert them into clear training products and user-facing documentation. Experience creating training materials, SOPs, technical guides, job aids, or knowledge base content. Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable working in fast-moving environments where priorities may shift. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple documentation, training, and support tasks simultaneously. Mission-focused, proactive, and able to work independently with limited direction. Desired Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Prior experience supporting NGA programs, data modernization efforts, or IC cloud/data environments. Experience with Data Bricks, Syntasa or similar data analytics/data engineering platforms. Familiarity with Spark, data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, or data engineering concepts. Experience supporting high-side or classified system documentation and validation. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, or other Agile/DevSecOps collaboration tools. Experience developing training for technical platforms, cloud environments, or analytics tools. Experience supporting user adoption, change management, or capability rollout efforts. Ability to conduct live training, record demos, or facilitate technical walkthroughs. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a technically capable, highly organized communicator who can operate at the intersection of engineering, training, user support, and project coordination. This person does not need to be the primary DevOps engineer or Spark developer, but they must be technical enough to understand the platform, ask the right questions, validate training content, and help users become more self-sufficient. This role is especially important because the program is currently single-threaded in the training function. The selected candidate will help reduce bottlenecks, accelerate the development and validation of training materials, and improve overall user adoption and mission readiness. Why This Role Matters The NGA DMS/Syntasa team is delivering mission-critical data modernization capabilities that require strong user adoption, accurate technical documentation, and repeatable training. This position will directly support the programs ability to scale by ensuring users have the materials, guidance, and support needed to effectively leverage the platform. By strengthening the training and user enablement function, this role will help reduce dependency on overextended technical SMEs, improve onboarding and knowledge transfer, and support the broader mission through more effective use of modern cloud, data, and analytics capabilities. An approximate salary range for this position is $150,000-$240,000.
