We are seeking energetic, dependable, and creative individuals who enjoy teaching and inspiring students through hands-on art experiences. Retired teachers and professionals with classroom management experience are strongly encouraged to apply!
This is a rewarding opportunity to use your leadership, communication, and teaching skills while making a lasting impact on children’s lives.
A commitment through May 2027 is required. Additional teaching opportunities may be available during summer programs and throughout the 2026/2027 school year.
The Opportunity
As an Art Educator, you will:
Inspire children’s creativity, imagination, and confidence through engaging art lessonsTeach students in grades K–8 using a proven curriculum designed by a team of experienced educatorsCreate a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environmentApply your leadership, communication, and classroom management skillsProvide clear instructions and guide students through creative art activitiesEncourage students to explore their own artistic ideas while building new skillsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe art environmentWork independently while also collaborating with a supportive team
Position Details
Part-time teaching schedule: approximately
8–24 hours per weekLocations throughout
Hamilton County and surrounding areasCurriculum and lesson plans providedPaid training providedCompetitive payOpportunities for additional teaching assignments during summer programs and the 2026/2027 school year
Qualifications & Requirements
Successful candidates will have:
A genuine love for children and a desire to make a positive impactPrevious classroom management experienceThe ability to confidently lead and engage a classroom of studentsReliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned school locationsThe ability to pass required background checksThe ability to follow a structured curriculum and established teaching systemThree verifiable professional referencesThe ability to follow basic art instructions and demonstrate activities clearlyStrong communication skills and the ability to provide age-appropriate instructionA positive attitude and a willingness to learnThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt when neededA self-starter mindset with excellent organization and dependability
