Requirements / Who we are looking for:
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred or a
minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience in HR operations,
preboarding, onboarding, or a compliance-focused role.
● High-volume hiring experience required, including support of compressed hiring
timelines.
● Merger and acquisition (M&A) integration experience strongly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
● Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage high transaction
volumes simultaneously.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities.

HR systems.

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
● Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, welcoming them to Veolia and
communicating next steps throughout the preboarding process.
● Conduct proactive candidate outreach and follow-ups to ensure timely completion of
pre-employment requirements.
● Coordinate and track pre-employment screening requirements, including background
checks, drug tests, and physicals.
● Support the scheduling and reschedule drug test and physical appointments to ensure
start-date readiness.
● Proactively monitor screening progress and follow up with candidates and vendors to
resolve outstanding items.
● Track and manage vendor status updates and preboarding queues to meet service-level
expectations.
● Support the I-9 compliance process by monitoring documentation, supporting corrections
and ensuring timely completion of Section 1 and Section 2 in accordance with federal
requirements.
● Escalate background check alerts, compliance concerns, and exceptions to the Team
Lead/Supervisor or HR Partner as appropriate.
● Liaise with Health & Safety, HRBPs, and external vendors to resolve candidate or
vendor-related issues.
● Initiate rescind actions and update candidate records in Workday when applicable and in
accordance with policy.
● Confirm managers complete required new hire information in Workday to trigger
downstream provisioning and onboarding activities.
● Support documentation audits and data accuracy efforts related to preboarding and
compliance.
● Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the
candidate experience.
● Provide project-based support for merger, acquisition, or other large-scale hiring
initiatives as assigned.

• Strong focus on customer relationships (both external and internal customers). Understands balance between customer and VEOLIA teams.
• Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and process startup related to VEOLIA WTS products and systems including but not limited to RO/ED, Ion Exchange and Thermal technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.
• Possess basic water treatment chemistry knowledge and communicate that information to others.
• Must know structural, mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, piping, welding specifics and civil notations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Valid passport.
• Ability to travel extensively (70-80% ~250 days/year) throughout North America, and to other places in the world.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in Commissioning, Construction or Services.
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Equivalent from an accredited University or College.
• Mechanical experience and know-how (hands on, reading and interpreting drawings, etc.), particularly with water treatment equipment (pumps, valves, instrumentation, relief valves, regulators, pneumatic systems, etc..)
• Electrical experience and know-how (hands on, reading and interpreting drawings, etc.), particularly with electrical panels and water treatment equipment.
• Ability to plan multiple priorities, and focus on the most important ones.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new problems, clients, and situations.
• Training in Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures preferred.
• Operating experience with water treatment equipment including reverse osmosis (RO) systems, Ion Exchange Systems, Hot Water Loops and EDI.
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
• Commissioning of Water Treatment Plans by ensuring process equipment and control system perform per specifications.
• Construction liaison between design engineering and construction during the erection of Water Treatment Plants.
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites
• Manage activities of outside vendors and suppliers, assuring services and supplies met project specifications and performance requirements.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and log sheets to document and monitor equipment operation.
• Develop and execute Commissioning Schedules and Performance Plans.
• Develop and execute classroom and hands-on training regarding operation and maintenance of process equipment.
• Participate in Model Reviews, Engineering Design Meetings and Safety in Design reviews in order to ensure accessibility, maintenance, and operation of process equipment.
• Perform control system factory acceptance tests with Clients and client-designated representatives.
• Perform after-market services such as site inspection, equipment inspection and operator training.
• Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within VEOLIA safety standards
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as water treatment chemistry calculations, , determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of budgets, and monitoring Time & Material (T&M) contract costs.
