    Medical Billing Specialist

    We have a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in
    a role that will support our current operations.

    Our ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining industry standards for billing and filing
    claims with insurance as well as clinic billing. Additionally, payment posting and assistance with
    special projects will be part of the job duties. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be
    highly motivated, detailed, and self-driven individual with excellent communication and
    organization skills. This opening is a full-time, on-site position located in Houston Texas for
    National company providing remote cardiac monitoring.

    Job Responsibilities

    Verify benefits, determine if authorization is needed and process a requestCreate patient accounts in Athena Health software and enter chargesReview Telemetry enrollments to see if insurance guidelines are met or conversion of service
    needed and notify clinic.Utilize separate system to track patients on monitors & determine when billing is doneCommunicate with clinic staff and/or sales staff to obtain missing insurance informationRespond to patient inquiries regarding billing and payment.Assist with patient collectionsAssist with payment postingMaintain accurate and complete billing records and reports.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis.Assist with other accounting and finance functions as needed, including special projectsProvide excellent customer service to clients, patients and other stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    2+ years' experience in healthcare collections settingStrong cognitive skills including analysis, problem solving, high attention to detail, and
    decision makingHigh level of accuracy with data entryAbility to work collaboratively with other team membersGreat organizational skillsAbility to multi-task, establish and meet deadlinesAbility to work in fast-paced environment and maintain accuracyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbove average organizational and time management skillsStrong Microsoft Office experience with emphasis on Excel (intermediate to advanced)Knowledge of Federal, state and HIPAA privacy regulationHigh School graduate or equivalent

You'll be responsible for planning, executing, and managing paid search strategies to drive qualified traffic, improve ROI, and support overall digital marketing goals for various clients. You will report directly into the Senior Paid Search Strategist.

    ResponsibilitiesAssist and support in the setup and performance of all clients' paid search campaigns.Demonstrate a complete understanding of bid management systems/practices.Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis.Develop paid search ad copy on an as-needed basis.
