Key Responsibilities
Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, and equipment per project specifications and blueprintsRead and interpret electrical schematics, construction drawings, and technical documentsSafely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipmentEnsure all work meets National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and job site safety standardsDiagnose and resolve issues in both low- and high-voltage systemsCollaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to keep projects on scheduleDocument work performed, materials used, and inspection resultsSupport new construction, renovations, and retrofit projectsAssist with industrial automation systems, including basic PLC-related work when applicableQualifications
Proven experience as a construction or industrial electricianStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematicsExperience working with low- and high-voltage systemsProficiency with electrical tools and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, ohmmeters, etc.)Working knowledge of NEC and job site safety practicesExperience with PLCs or industrial automation is a plusAbility to adapt in a fast-paced, changing job site environmentBasic carpentry or general construction experience is a plusValid electrician license or certification (per local requirements)Why Join Abcon Automation?
