Job Description:
Primary responsibilities include the calculation of commissions and coordination of commission payments and detailed financial analysis. This role is essential to ensuring accurate and timely payouts across complex compensation plans while helping transition undocumented knowledge into structured, sustainable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Commission calculations & payment coordination - review, validate, and reconcile commission reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain a strong understanding of commission structures, rules, and payment logic and document commission processes.
• Partner with Finance, Payroll, and Operations to ensure seamless commission payment execution
• Develop standardized procedures to improve consistency and scalability, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities monthly
• Assist with cash-related processes (e.g., deposit imports)
• Prepare recurring and monthly accruals
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis reports
• Assist with audit requests

Position Summary
The Investor Relations Associate will support the IR function at Abacus Global Management, a publicly traded alternative asset manager. Reporting to the Managing Director of Investor Relations, the Associate will help execute the company’s investor engagement strategy across earnings cycles, investor outreach, sell-side coverage, and shareholder communications. Core responsibilities include producing investor-facing materials, maintaining consensus and shareholder data, managing the IR CRM, and coordinating logistics across investor events and disclosure platforms. The role offers exposure to senior management, sell-side analysts, institutional investors, and the public markets.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Materials and Presentation Design
• Build and maintain quarterly earnings presentations, the corporate investor deck, and conference materials in PowerPoint, with a high standard for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
• Translate financial data and strategic narrative into clear, branded slides that hold up to scrutiny from institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
• Develop charts, exhibits, and supporting graphics for press releases, the IR website, and shareholder communications.
• Maintain brand assets, slide templates, and a library of approved exhibits used across investor materials.
Financial Analysis and Earnings Support
• Compile and maintain sell-side consensus estimates, including line-item modeling and pre- and post-earnings updates.
• Build Excel models supporting earnings preparation, peer benchmarking, and segment-level analysis.
• Pull and quality-check data from internal finance and operations teams for use in external materials, with strict attention to figure accuracy across the press release, deck, and script.
• Track share price performance, ownership, short interest, and trading data; prepare recurring market
intelligence summaries for senior management.
CRM and Investor Database Management
• Own day-to-day administration of the IR CRM, including meeting logs, contact records, ownership data, and targeting lists.
• Capture detailed meeting notes from investor calls, conferences, and non-deal roadshows, ensuring historical context is searchable for future meetings and board reporting.
• Prepare pre-meeting briefing memos covering investor background, ownership history, and prior meeting notes.
• Build recurring reporting on IR activity for senior management and the Board, including outreach volume, meeting cadence, and investor mix.
Communications, Disclosure, and Platform Coordination
• Assist in drafting and editing press releases, earnings call scripts, Q&A prep, and shareholder communications in coordination with Legal, Finance, and the CEO’s office.
• Schedule and coordinate investor calls, non-deal roadshows, conference participation, and 1x1 meetings.
• Serve as day-to-day point of contact for IR platform vendors, including the earnings call provider, virtual shareholder meeting platform, wire service, IR website host, and NYSE listing services.
• Help administer the IR website, including posting earnings materials, press releases, and event details.
• Support compliance with Reg FD and MNPI protocols across all investor communications.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, FP&A, or capital markets. Strong recent graduates with directly relevant internships will also be considered.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills, including the ability to design polished investor-grade slides and produce charts and exhibits without outside design support.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, lookup functions, and chart building.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for an institutional investor audience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure while maintaining confidentiality of MNPI.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience at a publicly traded company, sell-side research firm, or institutional investor.
• Familiarity with IR-specific tools and platforms such as IR CRMs, consensus aggregation services, shareholder surveillance, IR website hosting, virtual shareholder meeting platforms, and wire distribution services.
• Exposure to alternative asset management, asset management, insurance, or financial services sectors.
• Understanding of SEC reporting requirements, Reg FD, and public company disclosure practices.
