    Who We're Looking For:

    - A driven Quality Engineer with experience in CNC machining and/or industrial gas turbine manufacturing.

    - Strong knowledge of quality assurance tools, methodologies, and ISO standards.

    Requirements

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

    Provides quality assurance and engineering technical expertise to fully support manufacturing operations in accordance with customer and business requirements.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensures product quality is defined, achieved, maintained, and monitored for all parts and processes

    • Leads continuous improvement through root cause and statistical analysis of manufacturing processes

    • Contributes to quality engineering and related projects to meet LEAN and customer-based targets

    SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:

    QUALITY ENGINEERING

    • Assists in establishing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management System and related elements

    • Analyzes failures; identifies corrective and preventative actions, follow-ups, and closure of cases

    • Manages, monitors, and audits supplier acceptance requirements, performance, and defects

    • Determines quality improvement parameters through statistical and root-cause analysis including C pk (Process Capability Index) and P pk (Process Performance Index)

    • Develops, presents, and discusses proposals and refinements

    • Ensures timely resolution of internal, supplier, and escape defects and/or failures

    • Recommends, determines, and implements appropriate corrective actions for quality issues

    • Creates highly detailed documentation for the development and manufacturing of products

    • Develops and recommends resources and methods for material and processes; assists with quotations

    • Performs routine inspections and audits of processes and data in accordance with defined sampling plans

    MANUFACTURING SUPPORT

    • Provides input for routers, inspection criteria, process flow, etc.

    • Understands capabilities of manufacturing operations including quality, LEAN manufacturing, & personnel

    • Confers with engineering and manufacturing teams on business and customer quality requirements

    • Offers guidance and expertise to manufacturing teams on application and methods

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Receive and understand daily job assignments, priorities, and work instruction

    • Organize, clean, and maintain work area to promote neatness

    • Assure all department work centers and related areas are safely maintained, clean, and organized

    • Performs all work within the scope of abilities under all quality and safety policies and practices

    • Establish and maintain effective, positive, and professional communication with all co-workers

    • Willingly performs other duties as trained and able

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Verifiable High School Diploma or equivalent

    Bachelor's degree within engineering, quality engineering, or similar field highly preferred

    5-7 years in a quality engineering role and experience inspecting conventionally machined (turning, milling, and drilling) parts

    Requirements

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for precision CNC Machine programming, set-up, and first piece runs for lathes, mills, and multi-axis Computerized Numerically Controlled and manual equipment for production and prototype parts.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Operate basic manual and CNC shop equipment and tools safely and skillfullyPerform machining operations on all materials (e.g., ferrous, nonferrous metals, alloys, etc.)Meet and sustain established quality and production volume performance criteriaWork to job batch parts list, prints, drawings, specifications, and procedures to produce parts Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of industry, equipment, and techniques related to the role
    SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:With supervision:Equipment Preparation, Set-Up, & Maintenance
    Set up and/or break down essential CNC and/or manual equipment, fixtures, and toolingUtilize pressure-regulated air hoses; deburr parts and edges to drawing specifications and shop standardsUse saws, sanders, grinders, and other equipment to prepare and produce rough partsPerform routine maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment (i.e., chip barrels, etc.)
    CNC Machining and Production
    Use CNC/manual equipment to manufacture simple and complex parts having many interrelated dimensions, compound angles, and coordinate and exacting tolerances Operate a variety of CNC/manual machines including but not limited to lathes, mills, and multi-axis work centers Produce parts within required tolerances according to prints, designs, and specsReceive, check, and verify sub-parts needed for work orders; assist in solving discrepanciesSelect appropriate cutting tools to maximize efficiency and ensure the quality of the productUse a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, etc.)Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances based on work instructionsVoucher time accurately for daily work and neatly complete production forms as requiredRework and calibrate production parts and machine tooling as required; continuously check for accuracy
    Quality Assurance
    Promote, guide, and assist others to meet Quality Policy and ISO standards and customer expectations Produce, prepare, and provide part to Quality for First Piece InspectionInspect part characteristics at in-process and final checkpoints as required by specifications Prepare parts with a focus on uniformity, quality, and workmanshipEnsure all required documentation is completed at each stage of production
