    Working Location: Roasting Department.

    Outcome: The Roasting Supervisor is responsible for directing, planning, and monitoring all operations within the Roasting Department. This role ensures production efficiency, product quality, regulatory compliance, and team performance under the direct supervision of the Production Manager.

    Job Expectations:Direct, manages, and supervises manufacturing, production teams, and production lines.Coordinate and lead daily team activities by reviewing open orders daily to create and maintain production schedules based on order priority and availability of materials.Innovate by bringing new ideas to improve roasting techniques, processes, and efficiencyAssign roasting orders to appropriate equipment based on established parameters.Support production by actively performing roasting tasks when needed.Ensures that all processing activities are in conformance with product specifications and GMP’s.Ensure that standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained to maximize production.Verify, control, and assure that all production parameters are within specification.Manage roasting schedules, monitor raw material and supply inventories, and escalate shortages to leadership.Schedule work assignments, vacations, and days off for the roasters.Verifies labor hours and payroll report accuracy.Responsible for assessing the needs while providing and documenting training.Assist and collaborate with management decisions.Resolve team conflict and with HR guidance issue disciplinary action.Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.Set specific and measurable goals for the department’s continuous improvement.Monitor, record, and report departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational performance is measured and achieved.Ensure compliance with all company policies, SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
    Qualifications:Proven expertise in nut roasting processes and a demonstrated ability to introduce innovative approaches to production.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2+ years of related experience and/or training in a Production environment; required.Knowledge of order processing, inventory systems, and basic computer applicationsPrevious nut roasting experience, with strong technical knowledge of roasting equipment, supervisory experience, manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures, preferred.Bilingual a plus.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Able to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issues.Strong problem solving, math, and analytical skills.Ability to motivate, train, and coach employees to encourage optimum performance and engagement.Good planning and priority setting skills.Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.May be required to work long hours and weekends.
