Works-in-Progress Associates (WPA) is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant/Clerical candidate to become a part of our team! This position will work on the School Construction Authority Job Order Contract (SCA JOC). This long-term position is in-person, Monday-Friday at One Penn Plaza in Manhattan.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma is required.Minimum 2 years of full-time clerical experienceDemonstrated proficiency with MS Windows; MS Office (including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat.Experience and/or interest in construction management is a plus.Must be authorized to work in the United StatesMust be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.Duties:
Perform general clerical duties including data entry, filing, and document management.Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and courtesy.Assist with order entry and maintain accurate records.Provide administrative support such as proofreading documents and correspondence.Manage calendars and schedule appointments.Coordinate projects and assist with project management tasks.Skills:

Minimum Requirements:
Baccalaureate Degree in engineering/architecture and/or construction related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.Minimum 7 years of full-time experience as an administrative assistant or office managerA driver's license valid in New York State.Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office (including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.Must be authorized to work in the United StatesMust be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide assistance in Contract Management for various duties, including reviewing specs, bidding contracts, preparing documentation for contract award by OSC, and working alongside Contract Management Specialists within the Division of Contract Management.Assist with cost review of cost, plus project payments, and procedure documentation and improvement.Draft letters with little direction.Prepare specialized meeting agendas.Create spreadsheets.Create organization and flow charts in Visio.Skills:
