    What You’ll Do

    Warehouse Operations

    Oversee receiving, inspection, and documentation of all inbound inventory

    Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance

    Manage inventory in this market

    Allocate and distribute inventory based on demand trends

    Coordinate inter-branch transfers to maintain service levels

    Prevent stockouts and excess inventory through proactive management

    Monitor vehicle inventory replenishments to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational standards

    Forecasting & Planning

    Analyze usage trends, seasonality, and growth patterns

    Maintain target stock levels (~2 months of forward demand)

    Identify and report the need to adjust safety stock, reorder points, inventory templates and purchasing based on demand shifts

    Track and optimize key inventory metrics (AWU, AMU, LTD, ROP, TTC)

    Inventory Control & Accuracy

    Lead cycle counts, audits, and scheduled physical inventories

    Investigate and resolve discrepancies

    Ensure accurate tracking of inventory movement

    Cross-Functional Coordination

    Partner with supply chain, operations, and branch leadership

    Support ordering, scheduling, and special order distribution

    Communicate inventory strategy and performance across teams

    Leadership & Continuous Improvement

    Identify and implement process improvements

    Partner with the Area Manager to support daily operations, execute Supply Chain initiatives, and drive continuous operational improvements

    Drive efficiency, accuracy, and service-level performance

    What You’ll Bring

    Experience & Knowledge

    5+ years in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments

    2+ years in a leadership role managing teams

    Strong understanding of inventory management (FIFO, cycle counts, replenishment)

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for handling our Annual Maintenance Club Tune Ups. Our team will train you on everything you need to know to thrive in your very own market.  No previous experience with garage doors required, we got you!

    The Job:  

    Handling our Annual Maintenance Club Tune Ups 

    Complete garage door Inspections, following a check list 

    Handling call back visits when we don’t get it right the first time 

    Focus on turning negative experiences into positive experiences 

    Educate customer on their door and findings from the inspection 

    Receiving POs for the warehouse and updating inventory with the exact counts 

    Assisting the Area Manager or Market Lead with load outs for techs and installers 

    Maintaining physical counts in warehouse and updating Inventory 

     

    Basic Requirements:  

    Be nice! I know, we shouldn’t have to say that, but we mean it.  

    Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods 

    Physically able to lift 50lbs 

    Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record 

    Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (not including THC) and criminal background check 

    Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc as well as tablet and computer use 

    Basic knowledge of hand tools  

    GED or HS diploma not required, however reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required.  

    Professional appearance 

    Employment requires current eligibility to legally work in the United States 

     

    The Journey of a Maintenance Technician:  

    Our apprenticeship is a 4 week training program at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ.  

    A1 covers flights and accommodations for the duration of your training in Phoenix. (You will typically work 45-50 hours a week while an apprentice and qualify for overtime for hours over 40 in a week.)

    Once you complete training, you will receive a $1,000 bonus, and graduate to a junior maintenance technician. You will perform your duties in and around your market. Boom!   

      

    Interview Process:   

    Our interview process is not long, but it’s thorough. We want to make sure that each person who joins the team is the right fit for A1. And that we are the right fit for you!  

     

    After we review your application, you will be contacted for an interview with a recruiter if we want to know more. Plan on up to 30 minutes.  

    Next step is an interview with the Area manager. Plan on approximately 60 minutes.  

    Next step is when the fun begins: you will be invited to ride along with one of our technicians so you can see what life at A1 is really like. Plan on a full day.

    At A1 Garage Door, our Sales & Service Consultants combine consultative sales with hands-on mechanical work. You’ll meet homeowners who already need service, win their trust, recommend the right solution, close the sale—and then perform the repair yourself.

    No garage door experience? We’ll train you in every mechanical skill you need to succeed.

    What You’ll Actually Do

    This is a sales role first, but you’ll also get your hands dirty. Every day you will:

    Sell

    Meet homeowners on scheduled service calls.

    Build trust quickly, explain options clearly, and close repair or upgrade sales.

    Repair

    Replace springs, rollers, motors and other door components.

    Install keypads, run wiring, and adjust equipment for proper function.

    Lubricate and test equipment to ensure smooth operation.

    Use basic hand and power tools to complete the work you sell.

    Serve

    Deliver an outstanding customer experience that earns repeat and referral business.

    Collect payments and document each job.

    What We Require

    Valid driver’s license (3+ years driving record)

    Ability to lift 75 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, and work in varying temperatures.

    Criminal background check and drug test (THC excluded).

    Basic comfort with navigation apps, Google tools, tablets, and software.

    Reading and basic math skills for measurements and payments.

    Minimum of 1 year in consultative sales
