2. Description of Overall Responsibilities
Conducts security assessments for primary customers of IIJ America, and designs security systems and processes. Builds, maintains, and upgrades security technology, such as log analysis, endpoint security, network security and so on, for the safe use of computer networks and the transmission and retrieval of information. Plans, coordinates, and implements the sales of new products and services in areas such as cyber security with Sales & Marketing Departments Performs installation and troubleshooting at site. (Required business trip.) Composes and issue work records and project records of installation and configuration for each customer. Reports the status of each project and troubleshooting progress to your team/project leader. Reports and archive actual solutions and countermeasures of troubleshooting for future reference. Controls project management for both pre-sales and post-sales. Controls projects, vendors and subcontractors for delivery and completion of projects on time. Performs product research and market trend analysis as requested by your team leader and verifies new technologies. Prepares written presentations, proposal and/or reports as requested by your team leader and performs presentation to customers. Prepares operations and procedures manuals in operating more efficiently and effectively.< Technical Qualifications >
Maintain the following latest standards of technologies to provide appropriate IT and Security solutions to meet the customer's requirement.
Must be native level in Japanese, Fluent in English.

Senior Engineer, Advanced Security, Professional Services Department
2. Description of Responsibilities
Analyze potential clients' needs, market trends, and industry demands to create customized services and solutions using available security-related products, technologies, and services.
Provide technical consultation, recommendations, and guidance to clients based on market insights, security best practices, and business requirements.
Manage both pre-sales and post-sales technical projects by coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and successful completion.
Conduct comprehensive security assessments for IIJ America's primary customers and design tailored security systems and processes.
Build, maintain, and upgrade security technologies such as log analysis tools, endpoint security, and network security solutions to ensure safe network operations and secure data transmission.
Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing Departments to plan, coordinate, and implement the sales of new cybersecurity products and services.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex security issues across IT systems, including servers, networks, and telephony hardware/software. Provide 24/7 on-call support (not shift based) for critical incidents.
Manage and support existing customer accounts by resolving technical security issues promptly and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Lead and mentor junior engineers and team members during project execution, troubleshooting, and daily operations.
Maintain thorough records of system installations, configurations, troubleshooting actions, and overall project progress. Provide regular updates to project leaders and management.
Conduct product research and analyze market trends. Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and supporting documentation as needed.
Promote cybersecurity awareness through seminars, blogs, and external publications, enhancing IIJ America's presence and reputation.
Scope customer engagements effectively and build strong, strategic relationships to support clients in developing secure IT infrastructures.
Must be adaptable to evolving technologies to deliver tailored IT security solutions that meet customer requirements.
Experience and knowledge in the following areas are required:
Must be native level in Japanese, fluent in English.
Security software and solutions for servers and PCs Security tools such as SASE, EDR, and vulnerability check Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) operations
Secure configuration standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks) Microsoft, Citrix, VMware and other major software vendor's products.
Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and other major network vendor's devices.
Operation and maintenance of Unix/Linux and Windows servers
Local and Wide Area Network technologies
Virtualization and storage technologies
