AP European History Teacher
Responsibilities
Teach AP European History classes and help students build a strong understanding of major historical periods, key events, and long-term developments in European historyGuide students in mastering AP exam requirements, including document analysis, historical argumentation, and academic writingDevelop lesson plans tailored to students’ learning needs and academic goalsAssign and review homework, essays, and practice work, and provide timely feedback to students and parents when neededSupport students in improving critical thinking, historical reasoning, and exam-taking strategiesContribute to curriculum planning and instructional improvement when necessaryQualifications
Strong academic background in history, especially European or world historyFamiliarity with the AP European History curriculum and exam formatPrevious teaching or tutoring experience preferred, especially in AP-level coursesStrong English reading, writing, and communication skillsResponsible, patient, and detail-oriented, with the ability to explain complex historical concepts clearlyPassion for education and the ability to engage and motivate studentsPreferred Qualifications
Experience preparing students for the AP European History examFamiliarity with DBQ, LEQ, and SAQ instructionBackground in history, education, humanities, or a related fieldOverseas academic experience is a plusWhat We Are Looking For
