    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electronics Technician will join a growing engineering team supporting the assembly, testing, debug, and maintenance of advanced electronic systems used in our handheld mass spectrometry products. This role is responsible for applying the team's latest electrical developments to fielded products, production test systems, and research platforms.

    The Electronics Technician will work closely with engineers to assemble and characterize prototype and production hardware, support failure analysis activities, and contribute to improving product reliability and manufacturing yield. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D and production environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Assemble surface-mount and through-hole printed circuit board assemblies.Perform PCB rework, including fine-pitch component replacement.Assemble discrete wire cable assemblies.Construct and maintain R&D prototype systems and production test fixtures.Perform testing and basic debugging of production PCB assemblies and electronic subsystems.Support characterization and troubleshooting efforts using standard electronic test equipment.Create and maintain production documentation and records.Maintain Quality Management System documentation and support process compliance activities.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction and continuous improvement efforts.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    Expert soldering, PCB assembly, and rework skills including fine-pitch SMD and through-hole components.Strong cable assembly and wire harness fabrication experience.J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 training or certification.Ability to interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.Experience using standard electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters and laboratory power supplies.Basic board and system-level debugging and troubleshooting skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and similar productivity applications.Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    Experience with subassembly integration and box-build assembly.Experience supporting R&D laboratory organization including management of tools, equipment, and electronic components.Familiarity with task management and product life cycle management software (Jira, Arena, etc.).

    Education & Experience

    Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.

    Additional Information

    Location: This position is based out of our Burlington, MA headquarters.Compensation: The annualized base pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $75,000 and $90,000 per year; the base pay offered may vary depending on several individualized factors, including market location, job-related skills, and experience.     Position Summary

    The Technical Service Engineer is an entry-level technical support and repair professional who applies strong troubleshooting skills to service and support customer-owned handheld HPMS devices. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and management, this role provides responsive customer support across multiple channels.     The Law Enforcement Field Training Specialist will join the Field Forensics Team as a full-time training instructor supporting customers with the MX908, with a focus on law enforcement agencies and personnel operating in high-stakes detection and interdiction environments. Duties include delivering operational instruction and field applications-based content to new customers to prepare them to use 908 Devices HPMS and optical products in a variety of operational environments.     The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of custom electronic hardware for advanced mass spectrometry systems. You will own PCB and subsystem designs from concept through production, working across disciplines to deliver high-performance, low-power solutions in a complex electromechanical product.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design electronics for next-generation handheld mass spectrometry platforms.Own the full lifecycle of custom electronic assemblies (PCBAs, cables, and subassemblies) from architecture through production and field support.Lead design decisions and trade-off analysis across multiple subsystems.Develop and release production-ready PCBAs supporting high-performance sensing and data acquisition.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve existing products and bring new products from requirements to production.Support efforts to improve product reliability by identifying and addressing design and process shortcomings.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    Proven experience with end-to-end PCB design, including component library creation, schematic capture, layout, bring-up, and debug.Proficiency with Altium Designer.Experience with FPGA/CPLD design using Verilog.Solid understanding of electronic test equipment and methodologies.Experience working through design reviews, functional testing, product life cycle management suites, and quality management systems in a structured development environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal system performance.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    Location: This position is located at our Burlington, MA headquartersCompensation: The annualized base pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $115,000 and $135,000 per year; the base pay offered may vary depending on several individualized factors, including market location, job-related skills, and experience. This position may also be eligible to receive additional compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives
