Locally owned & operated 715 Restaurant in Lawrence, KS. We are a high-volume, upscale midwestern restaurant featuring handmade pasta, a variety of comfort foods & exciting, seasonal dishes. Looking for someone who has a solid foundation of knowledge & confidence in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Position summary:
As a LINE COOK, you will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu and following food health & safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks & plate food.

1+ years of line cook experience in a face paced kitchen – but more importantly a desire to keep learningPrevious experience in a team environment and various cooking methods preferred. Knowledge in operating a grill, oven, or fryer.Solid knife skills, station organization, and understanding of food safetyA calm, focused attitude – especially on busy nightsDuties:
Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstationsPreparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.Cooking order according to food health and safety standardsPlating prepared food based on senior chef's guidanceWorking with servers to to ensure that orders are completed according to request and in a timely mannerWashing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing equipment at end of shiftsAble to work nights and weekendsAble to work in a fast-paced environmentAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyWorks well as part of a team and on individual tasksAssisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when neededJob Types: Full-time, Part-time
