A respite caregiver provides a break for primary caregivers of people who need continuous care or monitoring. We serve individuals ages 3 years and above.
Role and Responsibilities:
Assisting with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, feeding, dressing, changing the diaper, light meal preparation, etc. Assist customers to lead independent lives and participate in and contribute to the community. Find creative and fun ways to help customers learn meaningful skills and provide them with information to make the best choices for themselves. Supports customers to exercise their rights and responsibilities. Deescalate behavior outbursts. Provide the family and 365 agency support with other tasks if necessary.
Work as little as 4 hrs. a week or as much as 40 hours a week. You pick your schedule.
Minimum qualification
Must be able to speak and write English
1 year of caregiving experience (Preferred)
Authorized to work in the United States of America (Required)
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (Preferred)
Must be willing to work with people with disabilities (Required)
Current CPR and First aid (Required) - Will pay for training

Conduct in-home assessments for new clients (involves a lot of driving).Appropriately schedule all caregivers to cover all shifts.Monitor schedules to ensure that overtime is not incurred without the prior approval of the Director.Replace any call-outs as soon as possible, being sure not to use overtime unless prior approval from the Director is received.Complete visit verifications.Track employee vacation, personal, birthday, and earned days requested off.Be available to fill-in in on emergency basis for a call-out caregiver if no replacement is found and the family will suffer hardship if the shift is canceled.Assist with monthly service billing and payroll.Assist with other functions as assigned to support the needs of the organization.Work Schedule
