    Job Description Reporting to the Construction Project Manager (CPM), the Construction Site Manager (CSM) is a managerial role responsible for supervising employees, contractors, and vendors/suppliers working on a Utility Scale Renewable Energy project site. The Construction Site Manager is expected to communicate about ongoing site work with the CPM, Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other site team personnel. CSMs coordinate vendor and visitor access to the site, communicate project progress, oversee the site team, and consult other specialists when their expertise is necessary. The CSM oversees the safety, quality, and schedule of their assigned project. During construction the CSM is responsible for ensuring that the EPC Contractor adheres to all aspects of site safety program, policies, as well as contractual, industry, and regulatory requirements. The CSM is responsible for conducting regular safety inspections with their EPC/OEM counterparts and is authorized to intervene to correct safety issues where safety issues are observed. CSMs must ensure projects are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with Policies, and Federal and State laws. Furthermore, they must regularly review project progress to assess whether the project is progressing in accordance with the established projected timeline and in compliance with expectations. The CSM is expected to regularly communicate project goals and issues to onsite employees. If a CSMs project is at risk of falling behind schedule they will report those risks to the CPM/Construction Director(s) to determine a mitigation strategy, or projected milestones need to be adjusted. This position will be based Onsite. Skills/Experience Onsite Management Ensure and understand that site team does not provide direction to the EPC, rather observe, and suggest recommended changes based on the EPC contractual agreement and industry best practices. Verify construction is in accordance with the scope of work, drawings, Industry Standards, Applicable Law, and Applicable Permits. Supervise onsite activities and ensure the following is being effectively managed: Safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Adherence to contract scope, housekeeping requirements, and work rules. Labor productivity, work crew assignments, proper tooling, parts, and supplies. Material and equipment laydown, storage, and maintenance. Project logistics, coordination, and risks. Adherence to permits, road maintenance agreements and landowner requirements. Contractor Management Evaluate, and manage contractors to ensure they meet project requirements and quality standards. Decision-Making Make informed decisions regarding project issues, changes, and approvals. Work with relevant parties to resolve conflicts and make decisions that align with project goals. Project Planning and Coordination Attend pre-construction meetings and provide guidance on project execution plans, construction schedules, and budgets with the CPM. Conduct EPC Agreement and IFC drawing page-turns with site team. Coordinate with Engineering on specifications and technical questions. Team Leadership Train, lead, mentor, motivate, and manage onsite construction team personnel and Contractors. Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment to achieve project goals. Schedule Management Regularly review project schedule, assess if project is progressing according to established projected timeline. Understand the construction sequence. Strategize to align project workflow with project goals and milestones. Resource Allocation Coordinate and optimize site team personnel and other resources to meet project goals and milestones. Day to Day Facilitate site project meetings. Monitor progress. Enforce safety protocols. Resolve onsite obstacles. As the job progresses and lessons are learned, add them into the lessons learned document. Vendor and Supplier Interaction Assist with tracking Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE)/ Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) deliveries to site. Ensure Contractor and Suppliers report procurement delays or damages that impact schedule. Facilitate meetings with Contractor and OFE/ OEM Suppliers. Oversee transfer of Care, Custody, and Control. Issue Resolution Identify and address any project-related challenges that may impact schedule, budget, or quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions. Budget Management Ensure adherence to financial plans to implement cost-saving measures where appropriate. Reporting Provide regular progress updates, including daily reports and issues and resolutions. Health and Safety Uphold a strong safety culture ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting safe work practices. CSM has overall responsibility for ensuring all Contractors abide by the terms and conditions of the agreements as well as the local, State, and Federal health and safety standards applicable to the project site. Authorized to intervene to correct safety issues where safety issues are observed. Environmental Compliance Ensure that construction practices align with CEGs Environmental, Health and Safety Operating Principle and with CEGs EH S policy regarding regulations and sustainability goals. Quality Assurance Assist with quality control processes to ensure projects meet industry standards, manufacture specifications, and applicable code requirements. Attend pre-task alignment meetings, First Build, and Golden Row/Golden Tower inspections. Ensure Contractor documentation meets requirements for deliverables. Conduct regular quality inspections to identify and address any deviations. Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for onsite project communications. Maintain open and effective communication channels with project teams, Contractors, Suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Qualifications Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States. Knowledge Skills Proven experience in renewable energy project management, site management, or construction. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide onsite personnel. In-depth knowledge of energy systems, installation practices, and construction processes. Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc. Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to addressing challenges. Effective communication skills to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders. Willingness to work onsite and travel as required. Occupational health and safety certifications are a plus. Experience Education HS Diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management is preferred. Minimum 3 years construction management experience. 3–5 Years Experience with Utility Solar Energy or Utility Wind Energy Projects. Experience working for an EPC Construction Contractor, CM Consulting Firm, Engineering Firm. Experience leading complex internal / external teams, building consensus, and driving project and corporate initiatives. Experience working with EPC Contracts, Subcontracts.
