    Marvelous Counseling & Therapy, PLLC provides a range of therapeutic services to meet the need of our clients and their families. Our goal is early evaluation and treatment, resulting in a positive impact and life success for our clients. Marvelous Counseling & Therapy, PLLC is credentialed and contracted with Texas Medicaid to provide home and community-based mental health services.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Behavior & Mental Health Support Coordinator, the Qualified Mental Health Professional delivers mental health care services and programs to the community at large by performing and providing the following services in a professional manner and in a professional atmosphere:


    Maintain confidential records in relation to the client's treatment Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, to help them develop insight within themselves and current/ future relationships Collect information through interviews, observations, and/or tests Encourage clients to aid in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes Develop and implement treatment plans based on experience and knowledge Fill out and maintain progress notes for the applicant in an accurate and timely manner Evaluate the client's physical and mental condition according to the client's information Refer clients to other community resources if needed Act as a client advocate in regard to emergency crisis situations Modify treatment for the client in accordance with changes in the client’s status Support systems i.e.family to assist in understanding the client’s behavior Monitor client use of medication if applicable Plan or organize programs of work, study, recreation, or social activities for clients Learn about new advances in the Qualified Mental Health Professional field by attending seminars, courses, and/or conferences. Must pass and maintain all Center-mandated trainings.


    Requirements:Bilingual (Spanish) plus Good spelling and grammar skills. Ability to write progress notes according to standards, assessments, brief mental status exams, memos, letters, various complex reports and miscellaneous other documents with acceptable spelling and grammar. Computer – skilled in the use of technology with Microsoft Office and all Google applications.     Position Summary

    Marvelous Counseling & Therapy, PLLC is seeking an experienced and visionary Clinical Director to provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for our behavioral health programs. The Clinical Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centered mental health services while maintaining compliance with Texas Medicaid, state regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.

    Marvelous Counseling & Therapy provides home- and community-based mental health services, including counseling, targeted case management, psychiatric services, medication management, and psychosocial rehabilitation for children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout the Houston area.

    The Clinical Director will supervise clinical staff, support program development, oversee quality assurance initiatives, and foster a culture of excellence, integrity, collaboration, and compassionate care.

    Requirements:Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical LeadershipProvide clinical oversight and leadership for all counseling, case management, and behavioral health programs.Ensure evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive services are delivered consistently.Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.Promote ethical standards and adherence to professional licensing requirements.Staff Supervision and DevelopmentSupervise licensed clinicians, counselors, social workers, case managers, interns, and other clinical personnel.Conduct regular clinical supervision, performance evaluations, and competency assessments.Mentor staff in treatment planning, crisis intervention, documentation, and service delivery.Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning of clinical staff.Program ManagementOversee clinical operations and service delivery across all programs.Ensure compliance with Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), Medicaid, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.Review treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, and discharge documentation for quality and compliance.Collaborate with psychiatric providers, community partners, schools, healthcare organizations, and referral sources.Participate in strategic planning and program expansion initiatives.Quality Assurance & ComplianceLead quality assurance, utilization review, and clinical audit activities.Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and billing compliance.Monitor key performance indicators, service outcomes, and client satisfaction measures.Address compliance concerns and implement corrective action plans as needed.Maintain readiness for state, payer, and regulatory reviews.Crisis Management & Risk OversightProvide consultation and support regarding crisis intervention, risk assessment, and emergency response.Review critical incidents and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.Assist in developing and maintaining risk management protocols.Community EngagementRepresent the organization at professional meetings, community events, and stakeholder collaborations.Foster relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations.Support initiatives that increase access to mental health services within underserved communities.Required QualificationsMaster's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.Active Texas professional license in good standing (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent).Minimum of five (5) years of progressive clinical experience in behavioral health.Minimum of three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience.Strong knowledge of Texas Medicaid behavioral health programs and regulatory requirements.Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.Knowledge of HIPAA, clinical ethics, risk management, and documentation standards.Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience working within community mental health, rehabilitative services, and Medicaid-funded programs.Experience with accreditation and quality improvement processes.Clinical Supervisor designation or eligibility.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Experience serving diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.Core CompetenciesClinical ExcellenceLeadership and Team DevelopmentStrategic ThinkingRegulatory ComplianceCultural HumilityConflict ResolutionProgram DevelopmentQuality ImprovementCrisis ManagementCommunity CollaborationPhysical RequirementsAbility to travel locally to program sites, schools, community locations, and partner organizations as needed.Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use computer systems for extended periods.Ability to respond to emergencies and crisis situations when required.BenefitsCompetitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and holidaysContinuing education supportProfessional development opportunitiesLeadership advancement opportunitiesFlexible scheduling optionsMission Alignment
