    Job Title: Senior Architect - K-12 (Hybrid)

    Location: Arlington, VA

    We are partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary architecture firm with a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region. The firm delivers high-quality design across a diverse range of project types and is especially recognized for its work in K-12 educational environments.

    The firm’s Northern Virginia studio is seeking a licensed Senior Architect with significant experience in K-12 design and a passion for creating meaningful learning environments. This role is ideal for a collaborative design professional who values quality, client relationships, and long-term career growth.

    You will join a talented team working closely with public-sector clients on impactful education projects throughout the region. The position offers a clear path for advancement, including the opportunity to grow into a regional market leadership role.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and contribute to all phases of K-12 projects, from business development through construction administration

    Partner with the business development team on strategy and pursuit efforts

    Manage and mentor K-12 project teams, working in alignment with the Studio Head

    Represent the firm at K-12 industry events and conferences

    Participate in internal leadership and management discussions

    Mentor junior staff and oversee design quality, documentation, and production

    Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

    Qualifications

    Licensed Architect in Virginia or Maryland (LEED AP a plus)

    8–10+ years of experience focused on K-12 educational design

    Proven leadership experience managing both senior and junior staff

    Strong collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills

    Demonstrated expertise in delivering K-12 projects from concept through completion

    Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

    Excellent communication and presentation abilities
