Analyzes project documents such as e-sheets and fixture schedules, specifications, item descriptions and other construction documentation to prepare a bill of material containing cost and labor estimates for products and services provided by the company, within deadlines provided.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Develop an understanding of the manufacturers we represent, including their product offerings, applications and protocolsManage customer expectations by meeting deadlines and providing clear communication with regards to expectations and deadlinesUses contact software correctly, uploading all pertinent documents in an orderly fashion, well-marked and detailedReviews data to determine material and creates a quotation using our personalized Project Management and pricing software. Focus is on optimizing the company's commission dollarsComputes cost factors based on the different manufacturer pricing supplied and its guidelines and prepares estimates for service workConsults with coworkers, clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve product pricing issues resulting in the best financial outcome for the companyInterfaces with Contractor Sales Team, Specification Department, Solutions and Clean-Ups to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimatesAssures that details on entered on each project quote including but not limited to these channel partners: names of contractors, sales personnel, distributors and other agents if applicableProvide updates to the initial cost based on client changes to quantities or product details. If there are major price adjustments, determine the reason for any discrepanciesProvides improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs, or to reduce lossesIdentifies cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement effortsManage quotation territory and all versions of quotations; follows up with customers post-quotation for pipeline management

Entry Level Lighting Controls Application Engineer I. You will gain exciting real-world experience and understanding of architectural and electrical drawing sets, Title 24 building code requirements, hands on design of lighting control systems using Visual Controls software, and the opportunity to work with our skilled team of engineers.
Duties & Responsibilities (I):
• Assist with contractor/distributor sales team and installer technical support.
• Create control layouts/designs.
• Create control submittals
. • Understand wiring diagrams, product details, and when to apply them.
• Create bills of material.
• Provide telephone support for technical inquiries, programming/installation questions, and troubleshooting assistance.
• Engage vendor technicians/engineers/contractors as required to complete work efficiently.
