Job Description
The Child Life Assistant's main area of focus is providing a developmentally supportive playroom for patients and families. Development is encouraged by the child life assistant through the planning and implementation of creative activities. The Child Life Assistant assist in the maintenance of a safe patient care environment by cleaning and maintaining playroom toys and equipment and participates in special events, outings, and other child life supported programming. The Child Life Assistant will also be responsible for assisting the child life staff with various duties such as managing donations, orientating and organizing volunteers, and other non-patient care related tasks.

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The Community Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing on-site assessment, and management of injuries (both acute and chronic) to assigned facility athletes. CATC will provide appropriate immediate treatment to athletes and provide appropriate referral to outside providers. Treatment may include rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes as they progress in their treatment plans. CATC may be required to develop training programs and educate local athletes on injury prevention, conditioning activities and injury treatment. Key Responsibilities:
Provide athletic training services in schools or other non-clinical settings as indicated by contract. Serves as onsite Athletic Trainer for variety of sports offered by schools.
Provide sports athletic training medical care to athletes, including evaluations & diagnosis, acute care, treatment, rehabilitation sessions as needed, in accordance with Athletic Training scope.

The Patient Access Supervisor directly manages the day-to-day patient access and scheduling operations for the Contact Center at their assigned site. This role provides direct supervision to Patient Access Representatives and is accountable for performance across key quantitative and qualitative measures, including quality assurance, patient experience, call volumes, average speed to answer, and related service metrics. This position manages patient access staff, assigns tasks based on the needs of the contact center, monitors new and established queues, provides training and education to patient access representatives and identifies issues that need to be addressed.

Job Description
The Patient Registrar is responsible for completing pre-registration and obtaining insurance verification for all appointments for physicians, therapists, and other ancillary services in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures. Will also perform all registration and scheduling tasks when assigned. Also, responsible for assisting the department manager with tasks that are essential for maintaining efficient daily functioning of the Revenue Cycle process.
The work schedule is 1 - 2 days per week, primarily Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays, with flexibility to be available other days of the week as needed. This position requires an estimated 8 - 10 hours of work per week.

Pre-registration Functions
Monitors specific queues daily and calls families/guardian to complete pre-registration functions 10 days prior to the appointment date.
Obtains and /or verifies all patient demographic data in SHCIS.

Job Description
Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a full-time day shift PICU RN in our PICU/PACU combined unit. In this position, you will provide emergency intensive care to critically ill pediatric patients and will be cross-trained PACU for our combined unit. You will have the unique opportunity to help our patients through their journey from the moment the child is wheeled through the door through the time the child leaves to go home. Many of our patients return for follow up care as they grow. This will give you an opportunity as a nurse to see your great work shine through the child as they grow older.
Hours: This full-time position will work 3/12s, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am. There is also a weekend and holiday on-call requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assesses comprehensive data including physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs and interprets assessment information to derive the diagnosis.
Involves patient, family and health care team members in formulating a culturally appropriate individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.
Implements the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family and health care team members.
Utilizes teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient's condition and learning needs.

Two years acute care hospital experience

To provide family-centered, age appropriate clinical cardio pulmonary care. Utilize assessment findings in a timely manner to establish patient and family needs in collaboration with the health care team. Communicate findings in both verbal and written format.
