This position is responsible for effective execution of the job responsibilities noted below as well as the effective execution of the job responsibilities for the position of Production Manager, VTC/ICE. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversee all assembly operations, including manufacturing processes, work instructions, schedules, and resource allocation. Ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, downtime planning, and cross-functional support. Lead, develop, and evaluate personnel to achieve production objectives and maintain high team performance. Plan and coordinate departmental activities to meet sales orders, inventory requirements, and on-time delivery. Support new product launches to ensure smooth transitions from concept to production. Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale while driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. Monitor and improve key metrics, including OEE, capacity utilization, and major KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to optimize processes, enhance product quality, and maintain EHS compliance. Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to develop a skilled, engaged workforce. QUALIFICATIONS: Four year degree with at least 5 years experience in a manufacturing leadership role. Automotive industry experience preferred. Proven knowledge of production, scheduling and shipping operations. Familiarity with IATF16949 , ISO14000 and OSHA regulations. Proven ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals. Proven experience in hiring, conducting performance reviews, and administering corrective actions. Must have proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to sit or stand. Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position works in a warehouse/production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
