    The Resident Aide position provides on-site monitoring and surveillance of our facility (Kumuhonua Emergency Shelter). The period of surveillance normally occurs during after-hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is responsible to enforce house rules and responds to after-hour resident needs as appropriate. This Resident Aide position consist of "on-call" duties and the responsibilities consistent with an emergency shelter environment, which operates twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Internal (current program participants) and external (outside applicants) Resident Aide positions are available. On-call hours are only for internal Resident Aide positions.

    ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    On duty, Monday through Friday, scheduled work hours are from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. On-call hours are from 10:00 pm - 8:00 am.
    Work hours on Sunday, Saturday, and Holidays are from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. On-call hours are from 10:00 pm - 8:00 am.
    As a primary on-call staff (internal Resident Aide positions only) will:

    On-call hours ( only applicable to internal Resident Aide positions ) means an employee needs to be available to work if an emergency/incident occurs at the Kumuhonua Emergency Shelter.

    Required to monitor activities within the facility.
    Handles crisis, emergency, or building security issues as needed.
    Intervenes, diffuses hostile, and violent conditions, in order to ensure the safety of all participants.
    Assists in maintaining the up-keep of the facility and the surrounding grounds. Verify the completion of a participant's community service chores.

    Ensures adequate health & safety standards of the shelter. The kitchen area is maintained at all times (includes compliance with the Department of Health and the Fire Department's regulations).

    EDUCATION

    A high school diploma/GED is minimally required. An associate's degree in human services, social work, business or a related field is preferred.

    EXPERIENCE

    One (1) year of experience providing in a customer service related capacity.

    CPR and First Aid certificates are up to date within three (3) months of hire.

    Vascular Interventional (VIR) Specific:

    The VIR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use including fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound.

    Requirements:
    1. The Senior Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be an active, effective preceptor for new associates and students.
    2. Competent to scrub and circulate all coronary cases including complex PCI and brachytherapy; Ventricular assist devices (IABP, IMPELLA and ECMO); all peripheral vascular cases including venous procedures (IVC reconstruction) and all Structural Heart Procedures including aortic and mitral valves and ASD/PFO. Must rotate through all labs including the HVL at least twice a month.
    3. Competent to float to Arrythmia Services and Hybrid Lab to assist with procedures.
    4. Must be FT or PT rostered FTE
    5. 1-3 years' experience in hospital CVL department

    Job Description Summary:

    This position prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures following guidelines set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

    Responsibilities And Duties:

    Performs Diagnostic procedures. Conducts routine radiographic studies in diagnostics. Conducts routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment; Maintains proficiency in each of these areas. Provides radiation safety for operator and patient.

    Obtains diagnostic radiographs Places patient in proper positions for procedures, adhering to department policy regarding routine. Positions anatomical part in position necessary to obtain optimum radiograph. Observes patient throughout procedure and responds to any observed change period manipulates equipment in proper manner, adjust technical factors to assure optimal images, and observes equipment safety. Critiques images inputs through only those optimal for interpretation. Repeats images as necessary.

    Prepares patients for examination Receives orders/request for procedures from physician, nursing unit, or radiology office and makes necessary entries in electronic medical record. Greets patient and friendly manner and makes positive identification. Explains procedure in clear, understandable terms. Ensures all necessary clothing and jewelry is removed and patient is properly attired. Starts IBS and draws up medications.

    Performs miscellaneous related duties Assumes duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary. Processes images for interpretation. Imports and burn CDs. Performs QC tests on X ray unit and impacts as necessary. Works with students enrolled in radiography program under program guidelines.

Thorough knowledge of various medical imaging procedures and equipment including proper technique and positioning, handling, and administering ionizing radiation to include contrast media agents, radiographic anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. Expresses superior customer service skills. Pleasant demeanor, neat, poised appearance. Ability to function as team member, with limited supervision.
