    General Overview: The Brake Operator function is designed to produce parts that require bending, rolling, forming, or other press operations. Employee is also responsible for following all safety and quality requirements.

     

    Duties:

    a) Follow all safety procedures for the department and attend training as assigned.

    b) Ensures adherence to all processes, procedures and requirements.

    c) Follow work instructions: routers, travelers, IRR’s, machine documents and drawings for assigned work.

    d) Perform quality control checks (first piece inspections) to ensure production meets drawing and other specified quality requirements as specified by SWP and other ISO documents.

    e) Proper use and care for all department machines, tooling, gauges and other devices to maintain quality.

    f) Ensure work as assigned is completed and properly enter production onto JobBOSS system. Ensure that all production, scrap, rework is properly reported into Job BOSS and ISO procedures are followed.

    g) Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and PM’s are being followed.

    h) Maintain departmental housekeeping.

    i) Other general duties as assigned by the Cell Leader.

     

    Requirements:

    a) Good communications skills. Ability to communicate problems and solutions to problems. Ability to follow direction and assignments.

    b) Must understand and follow standard and site-specific, job specific and equipment safety practices as outlined in the company safety policy and company handbook.

    c) Must understand and adhere to all processes and procedures for his department.

    d) Must be well versed and trained to operate the equipment in the department as assigned.

    e) Ability to accurately read precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc. and train others in the proper use and care.

    f) Ability to read blueprints and set up equipment to perform proper forming.

    Conducts personal and professional business with ethical, legal and moral integrity always.Observes and completes physical and psychological assessments of children following high level behavioral intervention (safe room orders) as outlined in the policy to adhere to OMHAS expectations and standards.Document and report observations, physical and psychological status, and overall intervention assessment on agency forms for the State of Ohio.Supports high level behavioral interventions, as ordered by psychiatric staff, in collaboration with trained agency staff members.Assesses on-site injuries and completes State Incident Reports.Assess unwell children to determine if the child needs to leave daily programming.Audit on-site First Aid kits and coordinate maintenance of supplies.Coordinate with emergency services, as needed, in a crisis by providing first aid or care and communicating with EMS staff as necessary.Interact with children in a professional, positive manner.Adheres to the Positive Leaps Model of care.Adheres to all Positive Leaps Policies and Procedures.Communicate effectively with parents, peers, supervisors and visitors, and maintain confidentiality of children and families in treatment.Creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm and commitment.Performs other duties as assigned.
