    What You’ll Do

    Safely operate a CDL-A semi-truck and trailer on highway, construction-site, and off-road conditions. Haul sand, gravel, stone, soil, and excavated materials. Follow proper loading, hauling, and dumping procedures. Complete required pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections. Secure loads and comply with state and federal weight requirements. Maintain accurate logs and required DOT documentation. Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and job-site personnel. Report equipment defects, accidents, and safety concerns promptly. Keep assigned equipment clean and in good working condition. Follow company safety policies and wear required PPE.

    What We’re Looking For

    Valid Class A CDL. Acceptable driving record that meets company insurance requirements. Ability to operate a semi-truck and trailer in active construction and off-road environments. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe commercial-driving practices. Dependable attendance and strong communication skills. Availability for extended hours, overtime, and weekend work as needed during peak season.

    Preferred Experience

    Lead dump, end dump, or similar trailer experience. Prior experience in aggregate hauling, excavation, or construction trucking. Familiarity with local roads (Jackson, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County).

    Work Environment

    This position involves driving in seasonal weather, traffic, dust, noise, uneven terrain, and active construction areas. Drivers must remain alert and comfortable working around heavy equipment.
