Qualifications EDUCATION Graduate of CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program or formal program as defined by the LCCST or who has completed the structured on the job training program at Bridgeport Hospital. EXPERIENCE * LICENSURE Completion of licensed Certified Surgical Technology Program. As of January 1, 2012 all newly hired Surgical Technologist will be certified or obtain certification within 1 year of employment. Surgical Technician hired before January 1, 2012 will be grandfathered in. SPECIAL SKILLS Good interpersonal skills. Evidence of successful completion of MCH/OR training program (score of 85% or better on exam). PHYSICAL DEMAND While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear.
