    Summary:

    The Production Supervisor will provide direction and assistance to work group to meet assigned objectives. You will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. You will be required to engage other support teams with clear problem statements and initiate the communication to work the problems.






    Production Supervisor Essential Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and provide technical, quality, and production leadership to assigned Cells / Teams to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost goals

    • Provide ongoing support in scheduling resources, technical leadership and facilitating the flow of hardware to meet customer requirements

    • Support process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns and reduce manufacturing losses

    • Gather data and report out on metrics on the areas you are responsible for

    • Direct the activities of a union hourly team within the cell(s) and participate in cell / team activities to meet identified goals

    • Perform administrative duties to support the business, including timecards, labor vouchers, self-audits, absence reviews, and missing time corrections, etc.

    • Assist Product Group Leader in coaching and counseling employees regarding individual performance and development needs

    • Practice sound human relations and communications skills to mentor and motivate the team in safety, quality and productivity improvements

    • Review production orders and implement production schedules



    Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and 1-3 years of Supervisory experience; OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 5 years of progressive leadership and/or supervisor experience. Previous experience in production/manufacturing environment is desirable.

    POSITION PURPOSE:

    TRI is seeking an experienced and intrinsically motivated Production Planner & Buyer to support its operations in Buford, GA. The primary responsibilities of this role will be planning weekly production and ensuring material / product availability to support the production schedule. Other supporting responsibilities will include managing inventory levels, supporting material / product level revisions, interacting & coordinating with suppliers, and supporting other business functions as required. This position will report directly to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager.

    WORK LOCATION: 4630 Distribution Parkway, Buford, GA 30519

    HOURS: 7:00 am - 4:00pm, additional hours as needed for projects




    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create the weekly production schedule in a way that optimizes TRI's ability to service its customers while running an efficient operation

    • Provide forecasted outlook of in-house production needs to help with labor planning

    • Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by forecast and the production schedule

    • Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems

    • Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule/inventory changes

    • Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation and material lead times

    • Coordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, obsolescence, and the introduction of new suppliers and/or materials due to new product development

    • Manage the inter-company flow or materials/products between warehouse locations

    • Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers

    • Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assigned

    • Support the Thermacell S&OP process

    • Setup & maintain material master system planning parameters (MOQ, lead time, safety stocks)

    • Processing MRP output, processing Planned Orders in a timely manner to support demand

    • Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options

    • Ensure and promote compliance to Company and Procurement policies and procedures

    • Initiating and following through on any supplier date changes and working through appropriate channels to resolve issues and get materials and products delivered on time

    • Communicate supplier performance, particularly On Time Delivery and Quality, including supplier visits as required
    Requirements:
    REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    · BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or other relevant field (will also consider equivalent experience)

    Job Summary:

    Golden Aluminum has an opening for a Production Technician who is responsible for the daily operation of heavy, moderately complex foundry equipment in a manufacturing environment. Production Technicians work on a variety of equipment which may include: presses, mills, casters, shredders, ovens, annealers, and/or slitters. They are responsible for ensuring that product is continuously flowing while visually inspecting to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    · Adherence to all safety protocols

    · Drive forklift

    · Monitor machine calibrations and adjust as required

    · Work with minimal supervision

    · Set up and tear down machines safely

    · Complete production jobs as required


    · Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures

    · Have basic Microsoft computer skills, and possess basic/fundamental math skills

    · Able to work any shift (2x2x3 schedule), 12 hours per shifts

    · Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

    · Attention to detail in favor of identifying defects and suggest corrections

    · Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 25 lbs.

    · Forklift experience is a plus but not required

    Basic Function: Performs various tasks in different areas to support the operations of the lumber yard.

    Job Responsibilities and Duties:
    Stacks lumber in pile down according to specie, grade and length by reading markings on board, following verbal instructions, or tag/orders.
    Works at fast pace.
    Assists in banding operations.
    Assists maintenance department.
    Helps in our kiln, warehouse, or shipping department as needed.
    Follows all safety policies and practices.
    Qualifications and Required Skills:
    Excellent teamwork and communication skills
    Able to read a tape measure.
    Previous experience with Chain saw, bander, band cutters, and stapler are a plus

    Frequently lifts, 40-70% of normal work day, material weighing 5-25 lbs. Occasionally, up to 15% of normal workday, lifts material weighing over 60 lbs.
    Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Inside and outside conditions, cold and hot temperature changes, wet, humid, noise, vibration, hazards, fumes, odors, dust
    Physical and Visual Activities: Standing, lifting, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking, balancing, feeling, hearing. Stands 9-10 hours per day.

    What will I do?

    Practice food and human safety techniques, comply with equipment maintenance, and use guidelines and labor laws to safely complete work, and maintain a clean work environment
    Keep open lines of communication with management and coworkers to effectively resolve issues and keep the operation running smoothly
